Who: Elektra Natchios and Zuko
What: Zuko convinces Elektra to join the fire nation
When: Monday night
Where: Some warehouse in OC
Rating: PG
Status: Complete!
The warehouse was owned by a subsidary of the company Zuko's family owned. Usually legit items passed through here, so it wasn't particularly noticed or monitored, so it made a good local for a secret meeting. There were also plenty of places for someone to hide in the event hiding was necessary. Zuko arrived first, having dressed in a business suit. He leaned against the pillar.
Elektra opted to wear her skin tight black leather outfit. The first one she had ever owned. It just seemed appropriate somehow. She found the location easily enough, but she stood outside the warehouse for a while trying to decide if she really wanted to go inside or not. Her curiosity won out eventually however and she stepped inside looking around.
Zuko was male, and involved in complicated emotional bullshit with a friend. So he wasn't above checking her out. He raised a hand after a moment, gesturing, "Elektra? I'm Zuko."
Whatever. Elektra knew she was hot and she wasn't above wearing skimpy outfits to get a little more money thrown in on the deal. "Zuko," Elektra greeted with a nod of her head. "Why don't we skip the pleasantries and we get right down to business?"
Azula would probably throw in less money, Zuko thought, since he wasn't aware she was interested in woman in the slightest. He didn't smile, just nodded his head, "I know what you're good at. I know you left. I don't know why, but I'm not going to ask. I think you have honor. I can respect that."
"Take everything you think you know about me and shove it up your ass," Elektra replied, only the slightest hint of a smile on her lips. She was pushing him, testing him. Seeing how far she could get. "I'm in this for money. Nothing else."
"Okay." Zuko's tone remained even, though one corner of his lips curved up. There was no bullshit here. He liked that. He named a number, enough to lowball but not enough to insult her. Purely from a negotiation standpoint.
Elektra scoffed at the number and then couldn't help but laugh. She let that just sit in the air for a momen and then turned and started to walk away.
Zuko rolled his eyes, "How much do you want, Elekra?"
"A lot more than you are offering," Elektra replied, not stopping.
"I can double it," Zuko replied, still leaning against the pillar. He tilted his head, "I'll throw in a sports car. 2012 model, as a bonus."
That made Elektra stop. She really like flashy cars. Well, she really liked flashy anything. She thought about it a moment and then finally turned on her heel. "You've got yourself a deal," she said.
He grinned at her, "How does a Nissan GT-R sound? Any color you want."
Elektra shook her head. "I want a convertible. Silver. I'm a classy gal."
Zuko nodded his head, "I know just the car. You won't be disappointed."
"I better not be," Elektra replied, but her tone was much more friendly than it had been before. "Send the details of the job to my home address. I can start on Monday."
"Great. Welcome to the Fire Nation." Zuko smiled at her, "For you, a fire tattoo is optional." She was more of an outside consultant, but he wanted to elaborate, because it would be hot on her. Pun intended, "It's tradition to design your own flame tattoo."
Elektra raised her eyebrows in a 'that sounds stupid' kind of look. "Yeah, if it works out and I like it we'll see," Elektra said. She wasn't about to brand herself to some Fire Nation right away.
Yeah. She'd fit in. He liked her already. She reminded him of Mai, and actually the thought of Mai and Elektra doing anything together involving knives terrified the hell out of him. Zuko tossed a two fingered so long wave at her, "You should have the car by the middle of next week. I'll try to get it sooner."
"You do that," Elektra told Zuko as she turned back on her heel and made her way out of the warehouse. Well, that had gone better than expected.
