Who: Sarah Walker and Bryce Larkin What: Talking over coffee When: Saturday Afternoon, December 21st Where: A cafe near her work Rating: TBA Status: In Progress
Bryce really had been joking when he said Californians would freak out over snow, he really hadn't hoped it would happen, especially when he was stuck in the middle of it. But everything seemed smoother than he had expected. Sure, he risked his life every time he got out on the roads as most weren't used to driving in that sort of weather condition, but over all it was alright. And he hadn't thrown out his old clothes during the move so this weather provided him the chance to wear his very stylish collection of coats, gloves and scarves. He was a man who liked any excuse to dress well and the weather was a good enough one. Of course it was nothing compared to what turned out to be an even bigger surprise than the weather.
Sarah.
He hadn't been able to get her out of his head since Albany. Every quiet and alone moment after he left all he could think of was if they had made the right choice. At the time it made sense as he was supposed to be undercover in his work and thus wasn't allowed to have any connections to 'Bryce Larkin', it didn't stop him from missing her though. It had been awful cutting off contact, but now that she was here and now that he could be Bryce again he couldn't help but hope that she would want to hear from him again. He didn't expect her to welcome him back with open arms or to try to pick up where they left off, but now that they were in the same town again he felt they owed it to each other to see where they stood.
She was there first of course and as he came up to her table it struck him that he wasn't entirely sure how to greet her. They used to kiss hello and goodbye, he was sure that was probably off the table but it was very hard to know just what was. "Sarah," he said with a warm smile. "You look amazing."
