After getting dressed and telling his mom - his dad being at work today - that he was going to the mall with Derek, Stiles got dressed and texted the man that he was ready. They hadn't really settled on a time or anything, just a day - which was today, in fact. He wasn't nervous, per say, but the last couple times they'd hung out together had gone pretty well, he thought. And he liked hanging out with Derek and hoped that Derek liked hanging out with him too.

He still had plans, of course, to woo Derek. But they were slow going, since he needed to show Derek that he wasn't just 'a kid' anymore. He was seventeen! That's closer to adulthood than it is childhood, right? Right.

Anyway, he loitered around his front door, chewing his nails, until he heard the Camaro pull up and Derek honk the horn for him. He waited at least fifteen-thirty seconds before heading out of the house, not wanting to seem too eager or anything.

Jogging down the sidewalk to the driveway, the teen grinned as he got into the vehicle and buckled himself in. "Ready to hit the mall, big guy?"

	Stiles makes a face at that. "Yeah no, thanks. I'd rather not." He didn't get that whole... whatever it was they had going on. It certainly wasn't professional, he didn't think. But, whatever. 	Derek starts coming up with a few ideas, ticking off a few books and series in his head that he could introduce Stiles to. Maybe he'll just get a whole bunch, stock up for future presents. "Cool."
