"You saved me, too." It was his fault she'd needed saving, but still. Credit where credit was due. "Took me some time to see that," she said, frowning. She'd been so focused on the people he hadn't saved. But she'd just expected him to fix everything. Maybe that was too much for one man.
"I still don't think it's right," she said. "Teaching me 'lessons' without asking if I wanted them." She felt a bit like a child, at his whim. Didn't she get a say? "But at least I think I can see why, now." She felt badly for him.
