Will had invited Lilo and the dogs over to just relax and watch television. He liked that they didn’t always have to go out and face crowds when they dated. They were sitting on his couch, watching a movie. Things were good.
Snuggling close, Lilo smiled when she saw Daisy and Winston in a cute little pile in front of the sofa. She liked being this close to Will, being warm and happy. Even her new puppy, Mareeba, was settling well. Mareeba was currently playing quiet tug of war with Roger, periodically licking his ears before resuming play. Life was fantastic, actually.
Will smiled when Roger started playing with Lilo’s dog. “He likes her,” he said as something Action-Packed happened in the movie. “He doesn’t trust many other dogs - he lived with a hoarder, so he’s used to getting his things destroyed or taken away.”
“Poor thing,” Lilo murmured. She looked down at Roger, and smiled at him. “Thank you, sweetheart, for sharing with Mareeba. I promise she won’t take your toy or hurt it. She’s honestly kind of scared of you - you’re older than she is.” Lilo had actually gotten used to her newfound ability, and had come to love it.
“I know you’re right, but it still amuses me.” Roger was such a kind dog. Just careful. “He was afraid of Daisy at first.” That hadn’t taken a genius or a gifted mind to tell.
Lilo shrugged. “Mareeba’s old owner used to hit her sometimes.” It made Lilo curl closer, made her nibble on a cuticle. “She used to flinch from me until I promised her all the treats in the world that I wouldn’t.”
Will made a face, pulling her closer and smiling at the dog. “I’m glad you got to her. People who do that to animals are disgusting.”
“How could you do that to her? Look, she’s the cutest baby in the whole wide - “
Daisy lifted her head and grunted, cutting Lilo off.
“I said baby, you’re a lady,” Lilo smirked. Daisy lowered her head, so Lilo figured the apology was accepted.
Will laughed. “You have to be careful of what you say. You don’t want to offend either of them! They’ll pout.” Lilo’s gift amused him more than anything, though he knew it still sometimes threw her for the proverbial loop.
She’d been about to respond when a random sex scene started up on the television screen. Immediately, she clapped her hands over her eyes. “Augh, these are so awkward!”
“It’s true.” Will looked down at the dogs instead, oddly charmed at Lilo’s awkwardness. “I mean, I know that real sex isn’t obviously quite so ... loud.” He cleared his throat a little. “But it’s not even close.”
“It isn’t! I kind of think I’m forgetting what it’s like. I haven’t had it since my first boyfriend.” It wasn’t high on her priority list, and she assumed she’d never have it with Will anyway.
Will blinked. “Really?” He wasn’t particularly a sexual person, but he’d anticipated that they’d both want it eventually. “I mean. I don’t want you to think that lack of sex is some sort of character flaw. Just ... I didn’t expect that.”
“I like it and all, I just didn’t think ... you did, so I didn’t press it, you know? And I don’t like having it outside of relationships, and I haven’t been in one since my first boyfriend so.” She blushed hard, and she put her hands on her face again, giggling nervously.
Will was angry for a fraction of a second at the assumption, but only a fraction of a second - how would she know? Instead, he said, with some amusement, “I’m not a virgin, Lilo.”
That made Lilo grin. “Really? I just ... I know that sounds stupid of me, but I’m used to guys who immediately try to do ... you know.” She looked up at him. “I’m glad you didn’t. But ... for the record, I kind of really want to. With you.”
“I didn’t immediately ... try because you’re more than just a set of organs.” Will shrugged. It irritated him that she was so used to that kind of treatment.
“I wish more men were like you,” Lilo murmured, kissing his neck gently.
“Thank you.” Will smiled. “I don’t know, I just ... want to treat you like a person. That doesn’t rule out ... things.”
“Oh thank god,” Lilo giggled. “You’re ... really really fanciable,” Lilo murmured.
“It’s kind of you to say so.” Will blushed faintly, but he just smiled after that. It felt odd to just ask her to go upstairs, though.
Instead of talking more, Lilo just looked up at him and kissed him. It was softer, but deeper than their kisses usually were, and she let her tongue peep out to gently run over his lower lip.
Well. He hadn’t expected that, but he was fine with it. Will replied with his own kisses, wrapping one arm around her with a smile.
Curling closer, Lilo sighed a little, ignoring the dogs as they all made an ‘ew’ noise that sounded like faint chuffing.
Will appreciated it; he liked closeness with people he trusted. He shifted so that she was just about on his lap. They hadn’t gotten this close before, and he kind of liked it.
She was nervous, but she did it anyway; with her heart hammering in her ears, Lilo eased herself so she was hovering over Will’s lap. Still kissing him, her hands cupped his cheeks, pulling him closer.
He was secretly relieved that she’d taken the initiative; he could work with that. Will settled her, thoroughly enjoying that kiss. He liked closeness, he liked trust; he just hadn’t found it in many people. If ever.
If Lilo and Will kept going in the same direction they were headed with their relationship, Lilo was certain she’d fall in love with him. She was already in the process, but wasn’t entirely there yet. But this was helping speed up the process. She sighed contentedly into his mouth, pulling him closer still.
Will heard a whimpering sound from the floor, and he laughed softly. “Roger. Hush.” He went back to kissing Lilo, his hands spreading out on her trim waist. The dogs could wait.
Lilo giggled. “It’s okay, Roger, I’m not hurting him. Promise.” She sighed when she felt Will’s warm hands under her shirt, curling closer.
Will had to be amused. But things were getting a bit ... difficult. “Come upstairs?” he managed, hoping she said yes. He might not have the nerve to ask again. And fewer dogs would follow them up there.
“Of course.” She kissed him, standing up and offering him a hand. Walking with a half mast was pretty difficult, that much she knew.
It was, and Will would have been embarrassed if he’d stopped to think. But he liked this reacting, this rolling with the proverbial punches. He managed to make his way upstairs with her, walking slowly, breathing in and out.
When they reached his bedroom, she sat down on his bed and tugged her own shirt off. Her feet were already bare, and she smiled shyly at Will. She wondered if he’d backtrack.
He wouldn’t. He was still a heterosexual male, and when she took her shirt off, it got his attention. It was different now; she’d essentially given the okay to look at her that way, so he did. He smiled, looking down as he started to unbutton his own shirt, awkwardly swearing under his breath when the buttons wouldn’t cooperate.
Lilo found it sweet, and she reached out to help him, standing up and kissing him as she managed to manipulate the buttons. That familiar fluttering was back in her stomach, and she closed her eyes, purring loudly.
Will eventually managed to get his shirt off, and reached for her. Skin on skin was intimidating, but exciting all at once. It had been a long time, though he’d told the truth when he’d said he wasn’t a virgin. They wound up leaning against his bed.
Lilo was inexperienced by anyone’s standards, but she was very receptive, especially to Will. Sighing when they approached the bed, she sprawled out onto it, reaching behind herself to unhook her bra before resuming kissing him.
Will wasn’t usually the one to take the lead. Still, he did his best. He wound up on top of her, more than a bit stunned by the sheer beauty in front of him. And the sheer sexual impulses that were overriding the logic center in his brain. “Wow.”
“Took the words right out of my mouth,” Lilo murmured, running her fingers over the surprising musculature of his arms. “You’re ... wow,” she mumbled. “I ... naked’s good?”
“Agreed.” Will laughed softly, leaning over her. The last time he’d done this, he’d simply ... gone ahead. “Do you have a ... anything?” He didn’t keep any protection around. There wasn’t any need. Though he’d damned well start now.
Lilo nodded. “In my wallet, in my jeans pocket,” she murmured. Sitting up, she rifled around to find it, handing it over to Will. “Will? I really like you.”
Will took it, fumbling with the wrapper, inhaling sharply when he cut himself. But even with his bleeding finger, he had to smile when she said that. “I like you a lot,” he said simply. “More than most.”
“Good,” Lilo murmured, taking his injured finger and kissing it gently. She ran her fingers over his back, kissing him once more and pulling him closer. She was glad that Will liked her best.
He got her help with the condom, and then figured he ought to just go to it. He’d lose his nerve if he delayed. Will took his time, but hopefully she’d understand if he was complete crap at this. Hopefully she’d help.
She did; lifting up a leg to let it rest on his hips, coaxing him inward by tugging gently. She hoped he knew she was happy from the noises she was making, the contented little sighs.
He could guess. Usually an upward inflection was good or at least curious. Will closed his eyes, feeling himself penetrate her, trying to go slowly. She was wrapping a leg around him, which he took as a good sign.
“You can go faster,” she murmured. “I’ll tell you if you hurt me, but I’m pretty sturdy.” She smiled, cupping his cheeks and kissing him again.
Will just nodded, not entirely trusting himself to speak. His brain didn’t cooperate at the best of times, and now it felt like an extremely precarious enterprise to try and speak. He just concentrated on pleasing her, focusing only on his movements.
Lilo did the opposite, trying to rock with him and make him as happy as possible, kissing his shoulder, his chest, whimpering whenever he did something right (which was more often than not).
At first he’d been spooked by her noises, slowing down and freezing, but eventually, she’d gotten her point across. Will had begun to understand what noises were good, and how she looked when she was at her most happy - those lips falling barely open, the eyes going glassy. She was beautiful, even more so than he’d thought when he’d seen her on the beach.
She was shocked. Was she actually going to - yup, she was actually going to orgasm. She smiled to herself, pleased with his performance and pleased with her life in that moment.
He had no concept of time during this, so all he could do was pray that it had been more than two minutes when he felt tilt creeping up on him. Will tried to hold on so she could go first, but he couldn’t quite, letting a soft grunt escape as he gripped her hips to hold himself up.
She came a few moments before he did, with a yelp that was embarrassingly loud. She didn’t move after Will finished, instead let her hands stroke over his back. “I wish I’d met you sooner,” she murmured quietly.
Will took a breath, expelling it shakily, feeling both silly and incredibly satisfied. “Move to one side,” he half directed, half begged; he didn’t want to land on her. Yes, he was suave. Sure.
Moving to the side, Lilo giggled and sat up. “Do you like cuddling after? Or are you an ‘augh I’m sweaty don’t touch me’ kinda guy?” She suspected the latter but wanted to check.
It took him a minute to reply. “I need space.” He was okay with being close to her, but not when he was sweaty and full of bodily fluids. “I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be! Come on, let’s go shower.” She smiled, standing up and kissing him on the forehead before walking to his shower. Her backplate was on full display, something he’d never gotten to see before.
Will was struck by it. “How long have you had that? In its entirety, I mean. It’s beautiful.” Well. In addition to the rear below it. He managed to get up, following her to the shower.
“A year or so?” She moved to twist on the taps, testing the water for its warmth. “It took three six hour sessions, but it was totally worth it. Want me to wash your hair?”
“No thank you. I can handle it.” Will smiled at her, hoping she understood. Mere proximity was enough.
“Of course.” Lilo hummed as she went under the spray, sighing as she started to wash her hair. “Do you want me to spend the night? I can go if you want some alone time for worky thingers.”
“I’d like that.” Will liked her near, and said as much. “You know how to be around without being ... in my face. It’s a rare skill.” He smiled, one hand resting on her shoulder.
Turning to face him, Lilo realized just how vulnerable she was, how literally naked she was around Will. Wiping her face, she smiled. “Sometimes talking just ... doesn’t serve a purpose to communicate.”
Will smiled right back. “Yes,” he answered. She got it. And it made him happy to hear it. So few people did, but he could relax around her. He rested a hand on her jaw, smiling. It was his thank you.
