As his eyes scanned Hela's most recent broadcasted though, Loki got the look of a man about to make a smart comeback. However, Hela continued on talking, and Loki was only mildly interested in the recent nonsense of the OC. That was until two names caught his attention. While he raised his eyebrow, a bubble appeared above him and scrawled out in its fancy writing: Meanwhile, beneath his calm exterior, Loki bristled, unsettled by the mention of the names.
The balloon must have sensed his annoyance because it quickly popped away, and Loki himself shifted in his chair as he leaned back. Attempting to maintain an air of nonchalance was difficult when the entire room knew you were anything but.
"I'm very happy with the choice I made between my books and tea parties, thank you," he said. He opted out of the witty retort this time around. "And, on the contrary, I was going to say that for most people this is simply home. I, for the life of me, can't imagine settling anywhere else. It's all so delightfully unpredictable."
Loki gave Hela a smile in return, though his was much sharper and much less amused.
