Laura was pooped after working on the orchard all day. She groaned as she made her way inside. She wouldn’t be sore in a minute or two, but it hurt for now. Her arms felt like lead weights. She trundled into the kitchen and grabbed a water. She drained it quickly and grabbed another, then went to plop on the couch.
“Hey baby!” Jubilee crawled into her lap, and straddled her. “How you doin’?” Her eyes were bright and her mood energetic.
Laura laughed and reached up to tickle Jubilee’s sides. “I’m good. How are you, sexy?” She wrapped her hands around Jubilee’s lower back and pulled her down for a kiss.
Jubilee laughed, kissing her wife lightly, and then much more deeply. She nuzzled her nose with her own. “You look wiped. I hope you’re not too wiped…”
Laura laughed, hugging Jubilee tight. “I’ll be okay in a second. How could I be too wiped out to spend time with you?” She threaded her fingers into Jubilee’s hair, stroking her wife’s scalp with her fingernails.
Jubilee chewed her lip as she considered whether or not to talk about what she wanted to talk about. She didn’t want to ruin the mood, but it wasn’t actually a bad conversation, was it? She pondered and pondered.
Laura noticed how quiet Jubilee was. She nudged Jubilee's chin up so their eyes could meet. "How are you, Hotness?"
“I’m good. Just thinking. Good thinky. Maybe I don’t know.” She searched Laura’s eyes. “I’m worried. And there’s something I want to ask you.”
Laura's eyebrows went up and her expression became serious. "You can talk about anything, you know that."
“What if…” She took a breath. “What if we had a kid?”
Laura sighed. "Why? What makes you so set on having a baby?"
“Why not? I think we could do it. And..I think it might be good for you. And me. The Hotness would be a good mom, she decided.” There was seriousness under her flippantness. She somehow wanted a piece of Laura, in case something terrible happened again.
“Why not isn’t a good reason.” Laura pointed out. “And I don’t think I’d be a good mom. You’re turning into a vampire, I’m not really interested in being pregnant. I can’t protect you when things go wrong, how am I supposed to protect you and a baby?” She stroked Jubilee’s hair softly. “There are plenty of babies for you to watch and maybe down the line we’ll have one, but not right now.”
"I'm not turning!" Jubilee almost snarled the words. She slipped out of Laura's lap and hugged herself. "I've been thinkin' about it. For a long time now. I want... I want something to share between us, that's us."
“But it wouldn’t be us.” Laura said with a frown. “We can’t have a baby together, and I’m not going to let anyone mess around with my genes to try to make one for us.” She let the turning thing go for now. She knew that Jubilee was having symptoms here and there, but she didn’t want to upset her even more. “Hotness, we haven’t even been married a year. I haven’t been a person for a year. I’m not ready for this, and I don’t want it.”
Jubilee swallowed, still hugging her arms around herself. Laura was right, but it still made her feel pained inside. "Sorry. It was stupid of me to bring it up." She wasn't even going to say the use Wolvie-sperm idea.
“No, it wasn’t stupid.” Laura kissed her neck. “I’m not saying we’ll never have kids ever, but not right now. It’s important to me to know what you want, even if I don’t want it too.”
“I was gonna ask Wolvie…” She said, in the tiniest, scardiest voice. “So..so it would be half you still.”
Laura tried to hide the fact that the suggestion hurt a little. She wasn’t the same as Logan. “We’ll figure something out when the time is right.”
“Genetically, I mean. We could use..two X chromosomes..maybe? But maybe we could just smush two eggs together, I don’t know, it’s a stupid thought.”
“It’s not stupid, but let’s leave that decision for when we’re both ready.” She didn’t want to talk about this, not about their options for creating a child between them or letting Jubilee get knocked up by her father.
“Okay.” Jubilee let the subject drop, walking over to a table and pulling out a drawer from it to hit her not-so-secret stash of emergency candy. She stuck some pocky into her mouth. Jubilee leaned against the table and looked at Laura. “Can we do something fun?”
Laura sat up. “Duh. What do you have in mind?”
“Lets go to a water park.” She wanted to enjoy sun and water without an amulet while she could.
“Ooh, that sounds fun.” Laura said with a smile. “You and me wandering around in tiny little bikinis, making all the other people jealous.”
Jubilee grinned. “Especially groping all up in each other and junk!”
Laura nodded, then moved down to hug Jubilee. “I’m sorry I’m not ready for a family, Hotness.”
“I know. I know.” She turned towards Laura and kissed her. “I’m sorry I brought it up.”
Laura kissed her back passionately and squeezed her tight. “Love you. Let’s order pizza.”
“Pizza then splash mountain?” Jubilee slapped her hands onto Laura’s ass and squeezed. With nails.
Laura yelped and laughed, grinning at Jubilee. “It’s too late now, we’ll go all day tomorrow. All of a sudden I’ve got plans for tonight.” She grinned and pressed Jubilee to the floor, kissing her passionately.
Jubilee groaned into the kiss, feeling blood pumping through her body faster. She mumbled something but it was lost in the kiss. And very, very dirty.
Laura smirked when the kiss broke, cutting Jubilee’s clothes off. “I like that suggestion.”
The gymnast came on the spot. This was going to be an awesome night.
