Logan always had a soft spot for Rogue. His newer dreams of an alternate life certainly hadn’t helped that feeling, so he was more than happy to drink some beer with her. And punch some people. Violence was always, always fun.
He parked his bike in front of a bar, and hopped off. His nostrils flared and he grinned. Best not to open with ‘now that’s a familiar scent.’ That would be weird. He sauntered into the bar and looked around.
No probably opening with that line would be awkward. Rogue was sitting at the bar, ignoring some guy hitting on her. She looked back to see him walk in and lifted an arm to wave. Beers and violence. She was oddly comfortable with the plan. Okay to be fair she'd taken out some trash with Gin. Violence came easy.
"Ello there!" She called out a smile on her lips. "Thanks for the offer to help!" A cheerful smile and a mischievous sparkle in her eyes accompanied the greeting.
"Hello there, darlin'," Logan said, giving her a big grin. He gave the man hitting on her a look. When the man ignored him and kept hitting on her, he grabbed him by the collar and popped the claws on his other hand, inches from the man's eyes. "The lady said no. Now, somethin' tells me she could probably kick your ass, but we're gonna be havin' beers, an' you're gettin' between me an' beer." He growled. "You really don't want to get between me an' beer."
No longer one to be shocked by anything here in the OC she didn't flinch at him popping claws. In fact she may have grinned. "Oh boy sugah ah think you pissed off da wrong man. Shoo now." She waved a hand at the poor bastard who made apologies and whimpering noises. She grinned wickedly before lifting her beer and ordering one for Logan. She didn't know why but she wasnt worried. You know when you feel like you know someone but cant place it? S' what she felt. May as well roll with it. "People dey never learn do they?"she asked Logan with a lopsided grin.
"Nope. They don't learn, no matter how much you shove their face in their own piss and rub their noses to get them to," he replied, lifting his hand to flag the bartender. "Guiness."
He turned back to Rogue and grinned. “I’m Logan.”
Rogue grinned at him.. "ah really am used to them trying. Most of em ain't worth my time." She laughed as she watched the man saunter out. She nodded at Logan's choice of beer and settled her feet on the stool rungs again.
"A pleasure. Ah'm Anna but please call me Rogue. Been ferever since ah went by Anna" she laughed softly and pushed her hair out of her eyes.
He lifted his glass, sniffing at the beer and nodding in approval. “Rogue, huh? Let me guess, you got your hand in shit not quite legal?”
she laughed softly then shrugged. "Gotta survive some how but ah earned the name being the black sheep of mah family. Aint stayed on the farm took off to cali. " she put on her innocent smile. "Aint gonna admit to anythin though."
“That’s fine, I ain’t gonna admit to anything I’ve done either.” He snorted. Rogue was one of those people he could feel a bit at home around. It was nice.
Rogue smiled a bit. "Deniability!" She quipped before taking a draw off her beer. She side eyed him for a moment pondering over why she felt comfy with him. The kind of comfy that let her relax without a hesitation. "So you really gonna help me punch some faces in fer being handsy?" Not that she doubted it. She'd seen him threaten the man who'd been eyeballin her.
“Yeah. I like punchin’ people that deserve it, darlin’.” He grinned at her, a lopsided sheepdog of an expression. “Sometimes I jus’ like punchin’.”
she smiled at that. "Its a good habit. Aint gonna lie none. Ah like punching people who deserve it too." She gave him a warm smile at his lopsided expression. It was oddly perfect on his face. "Well ahm glad yer gonna help. Ahll buy a few rounds after too.,"
“You had me at beer,” Logan repeated, from the network, and nodded at her. “Okay, remember where you were with the first jerk?”
Rogue smirked. “Well nice ta know yer truly that easy to please” she snickered softly then nodded. “Oui, right around the corner from mah apartment, at the little market.” she said with her head tilted. Curious.
“Okay.” Logan knocked back the rest of his drink, and gestures with his head. “We can ride my harley down, an’ make an entrance.”
Rogue polished off hers and got back to her feet, the heels of her boots clicking on the floor as she headed towards the door. “Ah like makin’ an entrance and Harleys? always the best way ta do it.” she grinned wickedly
“Yeah. I tune it jus’ right,” he said, unable to help flirting a little bit. Kitty was right, they totally do make sex eyes at each other in that one universe, after all. He walked out to the bike and hopped on.
She nodded lightly, a smirk on her lips.Carefully avoiding that dangerous ground. Rogue tried very hard not to flirt with people she didn’t know and that weren’t marks. Not that it always worked, of course. Hence the mischievous smirk and glint in her eyes. She pulled her hair into a pony tail, tied it up and slid onto the bike behind him. It wasn’t her first go round. She gave him the address of the place, before getting an easy grip. Falling off a bike was NOT her plan for the night
“Hold tight.” Sometimes he missed being single. This was one of them. He pulled out into traffic and cruised down the road, following her directions like a mental GPS.
She was stronger than she looked. Not that she squeezed the life out of him. She hung out with just enough grip not to go flying, and actually shifted when it was called for to help balance. She liked bikes. Rogue loved the wind in her hair, and the breeze on her skin. It was a lovely feeling. She kept an eye out for the corner store, but trusted him to be able to find it too, her head coming up a bit more when they got close
They rolled to a stop, and Logan cut the engine. He looked around casually. “See the bastard?” He flexed his fingers, grinning.
Rogue let go and leaned back a bit to look around. Then perked up a bit. “Well bless yer heart, there” she gestured to one of the guys leaning on the wall outside the store, chatting it up, looking like the little punk ass bitch he was.
“Punk ass bitch,” Logan muttered, swinging off his bike. He walked up to the man and grinned. “Hey bub. You recognize this lady here?” He grabbed him by the shirt collar and tossed him in Rogue’s direction. “She wants to say hello.”
Rogue slid off the bike after him, laughing softly when he grabbed the guy by the shirt and threw him at Rogue. Apparently he didn’t have sense, because he went to reach for the hair. ”Ooh you with the crazy hair! Hey girl, you want some more?” even as he stumbled at her. Rogue’s eyes narrowed. Then she landed a rather solid jab right into the guys nose. “Are you fucking kidding me? Don’t touch me!” she snapped as she put a boot to his shin as the guy held his nose in shock. Rogue sorta had a short temper.
Logan grabbed him again and lifted him into the air by the hair. “Get another one in. I’m feelin’ generous.”
didn't have to tell Rogue twice. Poor punk never thought a slender little thing could hit so hard. For good measure the guy got a one two jab cross combo with her wanting to leave his bell ringing.
Logan popped his claws, and cut off some of the kid’s hair. “Souvenir?”
Rogues eyes sparkled as she reached out for the strands. Lips curled in a devious grin. "Ah like how you think! " oh they were going to be fast friends.
“Next.” Logan made his way back to the bike, after kicking the man once while he was down. “Where to next?”
Rogue smiled and tucked the hair into her jeans pocket. "Got anythin bout lettin me deck a chick? Next one was outside the grocery place. " she grinned as she slid back on after him. "Yer enjoying this" statement not a question.
“Let me see, watch two girls punch each other, what could possibly suck about that?” He grinned and revved the engine.
She snaked her arms back around and managed a jab to the ribs as she did so. "Smart ass." She muttered at him. Then gave him the address.
Laughing, Logan sped off, traffic laws merely a guideline as he headed to the market. A few minutes later, he was parking them, and lighting up a cigarette in blatent disregard to the no smoking sign.
rogue laughed as they sped off. She was enjoying the ride as much as the people punching time. She looked around as they parked but she didn't immediately see her. "Hmmm where are you?" It wasn't all that long ago
“What did she look like?” Logan asked. It would have been easier if she could have zapped him and borrowed his sniffer. But she clearly didn’t have powers yet, or a memory of him.
she nodded. "Tall as I am. Tan. Black hair. Maybe Hispanic. Slender. " sure would be easier. But she didn't. "She wore vanilla and rose perfume" she added.
“This way.” Logan led her around the building to the side. He could smell the perfume, and cigarette smoke. “Her?” He glanced at Rogue, and leaned against the wall.
She grinned and languidly followed him before she darted around him. "Oooh yes" she moved lightly on her feet to run at the woman. "Hey girl ‘member me!" She punched her square in the nose. >
Logan watched the girl go down, then popped a claw to get a lock of hair for Rogue’s collection. “Come one, who else do we gotta disturb the peace on?”
Rogue settled back on her heels, hair tucked in her pocket, feeling rather content. “Ah think that’s really it. The rest just gawked. If’n you can think of someone else to throw down with, ah’m always game. Or. Beer.”
“We can hit up a shittier part of town an’ see if we can provoke a few folks,” Logan replied, his grin dark.
Rogue tilted her head then smirked. “Oh Oui, that we can do. Ah don’t think us stirring up a lil bit o’trouble is gonna be hard.” she twitched her lips into an innocent grin before standing and poking the girl whimpering on the ground with a toe then turning her back and heading back after him
“I know this place,” Logan said. “Friend o’mine showed me it. She used to do cage fights there. Figure we can work out some aggression.”
She nodded. “Sounds like a good place fer that” she grinned a bit and brushed dirt off her jeans. “Ah say let’s go!”
