Katniss had hiked without complaint, taking in the amazing scenery and filling her lungs with glorious fresh air. She enjoyed being out in the fresh air and open spaces and didn't mind hard work.
When she saw their 'instructor' setting up a hammock to sit in, looking for all the world like he was on a beach in Maui, she couldn't help but feel a little pissed off. The rest of the team were beavering away trying to make their shelter and he was...lounging. Her own shelter had been erected; she'd used her poncho, pegged down the corners and supported it underneath with a rope between two trees. It lay fairly low to the ground to try and stop the wind getting under it, and she'd lain her groundsheet underneath it along with her sleeping bag. Knowing the others were working hard at their own shelters, she couldn't help but think he should be doing more.
"So...is this all you're going to do?" she asked him, referring to him lying in his hammock. "Watch us and laugh?"
