"Really?" Hela didn't sound one bit surprised in hearing Brienne didn't hunt or eat wild game. Most folks didn't unless the opportunity or desperation presented itself. Hela didn't judge. It was hardly a sport she'd recommend for everybody, but looking at Brienne, Hela had little doubt the woman could handle it.
"Bear is surprisingly good," the brunette hunter cheerfully remarks with a small smile stirring in the spoonful of honey, "But it's all in how you prepare it. The backstraps and the heart are great on grill; front quarters make a fine pot roast, some bacon from flanks, and grind the rest for sausages. So far, I've had no complaints except for when it runs out too soon."
"It's not you I'm worried about," she quipped, her blue gaze leveled at Garm, who sensing his owner's displeasure, flattened his ears and laid down on the kitchen tile. Then returning her attention to Brienne, Hela was delighted by the news, set her tea cup down with a gentle clatter on the counter. "If you like I can grant you a quick walkthrough of the house and you can pick your room tonight," she smiled. "You're welcome to move in as soon as you're ready. Although it may take me a day or two to have a second set of keys made."
