The alarm rang out beside Padmé’s head and she was instantly hit with a case of the Mondays. A groan escaped from her lips as she reached out her hand to slap the alarm and turn it off. Unfortunately it wasn’t just a case of the Mondays that she was hit with when suddenly her alarm went flying when she put her palm out towards it. The clatter instantly woke her up and when she lifted her head from the pillow her face was etched in confusion. “What the…” was all she managed to mutter as she pushed back the covers and placed her legs over the edge of the bed. She could see the ruined alarm in the corner and she decided to test what just happened since it was already broken. So, she pushed her hand out, palm first, towards the item and the pieces flew off into other directions. “Alright then….” Her confusion didn’t lessen as she got up and decided to test this new power on a few smaller items in her room.
Pillows, books, and notebooks were all over room by the time she finally felt justified in trying out her new power. She knew she would have to clean it up later, but she didn’t let that bother her as she wandered to the kitchen. Maybe some coffee would help wake her up and decipher what was going on. Nothing made sense, but she knew it had to be something going on with other people in the network. Once she reached the coffee maker she reached for the handle and let out a startled yelp as she saw and felt a spark go from her palm to the coffee maker. “Fuck,” she yelped as she watched her coffee pot spark and start to smoke, “Are you kidding me? Come on! This is not okay.” Well, at least now she knew it was probably some sort of weird telekinesis or something – did that come with lightening? She wasn’t quite sure and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to find out.
If she couldn’t have coffee to wake her up then she would just jump in the shower. There was nothing in there that she could possibly destroy and hopefully she would be able to get a handle on these things. While she waited for the water in the shower to warm up she stood in front of her sink and brushed her teeth. As she regarded herself in the mirror she felt something come into her mind. It wasn’t so much thoughts as emotions from someone else. There was a sense of anger, tiredness, and general unhappiness and it completely overcame her and she went to her knees. What was going on?! She wanted to scream as she took a few breaths and tried to get her mind back to normal. Eventually the emotions faded and she stood back up. It was that last piece that made her finally figure what was going on and she stared at her reflection once more with wide eyes. “Jedi. Oh shit. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi,” she muttered to herself as everything Obi-Wan had told her about the Jedi came flooding back to her. She quickly left the bathroom to find her cell phone and send him a frantic text.
