Spock's enthusiasm was tempered by Uhura's final statement. He sobered just a bit and found words hard to come by just for a moment. Sighing, Spock reached for Uhura's hand taking hers in his and brushing his thumb along her index finger. "Yes," he said, "it is. Utterly illogical." A pause. "And yet here we are." He looked at her with something close to sympathy in his eyes. "I dream about being from an alien world that, in all likelihood, does not exist. You can speak alien languages. It seems the impossible is happening. But that does not mean that we are crazy."
He leaned back a little bit, but still held her hand gently in his. "I would like to find out what you know of the Klingon language. If you're interested in sharing. I would understand if you didn't."
