Home was not a place that Regulus frequented these days. Even when he was there, he wasn't quite present. He was often distracted and usually only came home at night to slide under the bedcovers next to Caprica. Here, she was the only sense of home that he had.
Tonight, he came home with some leftovers from work, as he usually did. As he closed the door behind him, he heard his wife greet him and he looked over his shoulder to see her zipping up a dress. "Hi," he greeted back with a smile, clueless as to anything going on. He felt distinctly domestic, but he somehow didn't mind it.
Once the door was shut, Regulus tossed his keys on the table, then put the bag of food down. He stripped off his work coat before going to Caprica to kiss her hello. "You look lovely," he told her. She always did, but there was something different tonight.
