There wasn’t a right or wrong answer. It was Bella assuming that much ice cream meant a party. Not that it required a party. To each their own. Just because she wouldn’t buy that much to sit in her freezer for a little while didn’t mean others couldn’t. Although his answer was a bit hectic or maybe he already had ice cream earlier. He certainly seemed like he had a little too much sugar that day.

“It would be good at a party,” she agreed with a smile and looking down at Ness. “And you can’t really go wrong with bananas.” Unless someone put them on a salad. She could never figure out why people thought that would be good.

Too much sugar would have been a good excuse, but in reality this was just how he was: hyper, excitable, pleased. Except for when he wasn't, and then he was the terrible exact opposite of that. But he didn't like that - didn't like himself when he got like that. So he just tried not to be.

"I like a party," he said, as if that were the topic at hand. "Or just ice cream." Hey, he was easy.

Who didn't like a party? Well, she shouldn't say that. Other than children's parties it wasn't really her scene. She didn't like to go all out just for herself. She was usually quiet and timid during a party. But she couldn't say that she didn't like them. "You don't need a reason to have ice cream," she smiled at the man.

John was neither shy, quiet or timid ever, and it was probably very obvious. He only grinned. "And thank goodness for that, yeah?"

"Most definitely," she smiled.

Or she wouldn't be getting ice cream either. It would be a sad world for the both of them. "I'm just going to stick to the vanilla," she said looking down at Nessie. "Easier to share."
