Vala stood in front of a group of Navi’s friends to introduce the first game. She had one of the non-alcoholic cocktails in her hand and had just chowed down on a couple of starters. Clearing her throat, she started to explain the first game.
“Now ladies, as you know, Navi has yet to select a name for the little one,” she started. “So, for your first task, you have thirty seconds to write as many names as you can think of beginning with the initials of the parents. So you have N and P to work with,” she told them. “Now to give us a bit more variety, let’s include the surname too, so the letters you have to use are N, P and W,” she smiled, reaching for the sandtimer she’d brought. “Take up your pencils, ready! Set! Go!”
She watched them scribbling away, keeping an eye on the sandtimer while she swapped her empty glass for a refill of the fruit juice cocktail. “Aaaaand, pencils down!” she announced as the sand ran out. “Let’s see what we’ve got!”
