When Loras came at him, he was surprised that he could wield a bo staff better than a sword, just as he'd been able to lance better in his dream. Their fighting techniques were different, and Loras didn't hold back. He knew that Obi-Wan could match him. That was the challenge in it all, that he couldn't win, but he wanted to. It was his job to win.
The trouble was, other fighters in his ring weren't as good as he was. No matter what their training, Loras had always been an unmatched opponent. Obi-Wan had been trained as a warrior, not just a fighter trying at a title. Warriors were trained to kill. With a grunt, Loras made a series of swift movements, sweeping the bo along the floor toward Obi-Wan's feet in an attempt to trip him to the floor.
