"Yeah, well, I guess I wanted to be somewhere that I wouldn't be recognized," he mentioned. Some of his neighbors had tried approaching him, numerous times; however, he wasn't exactly ready to interact with those he lived near, yet. He didn't want people trying to pry into his life, or worse, people pitying him and his experience in the military.. That was certainly something he despised, given that he didn't regret his time in the service.
Then, came the invitation to 'hang out.' Piers certainly wasn't accustomed to be with others but this guy seemed friendly enough. He gave a slight shrug, "Yeah, sure...I could do with a bit of fun..." he said, with another small smirk.
