James kind of laughed. His skin colored a little bit. The man was nice to look at, and James had gotten ice on him. He had always been a bit on the clumsy side. "I think I saved most of it," he grinned, taking a bite off the top. "I love these things. They melt too quick, but then it's like a slushy."
He wasn't sure what to say, but the man seemed friendly enough. "Are you from around here? You aren't carrying a camera like one of the tourists." That was an easy way to differentiate locals from the flock of bodies that flooded he pier during the summer. "I can never resist the beach on my days off." His lips curled upward in an embarrassed grin.
