Zelda was looking forward to having coffee with Natasha. She was set to start filming her next movie in just a week or so, and wanted to poke her hopeful friend and definite idol about a couple of things. She loved the changes she’d seen in her body as she’d been working out to prepare for the role. She’d worked harder because Natasha had told her to, and she was thankful to have someone in her life willing to give her such good advice.
She arrived a few minutes early, ordered an iced tea, and sat down to wait for the other.
Natasha walked in a few minutes later, looking like a star come down from the heavens. She hadn’t had time to really change out of what she’d been wearing for her shoot, and it was a shimmery little red dress. She took a seat and smiled. “Good afternoon!”
Zelda beamed at the sight of her friend and sat up a little straighter. “Hi! Wow, that’s amazing. You look absolutely amazing! How are you??”
“Thanks. I came right from shooting. Sometimes it’s nice to be pretty and make a splash.” She winked. “I’m doing good. The next three weeks we shoot the final two hour episode. It’s going to be emotional.”
A little laugh escaped Zelda as she looked over at Natasha in that gorgeous dress. “Wow. That’s... amazing. The end of an era!” She said, looking both awed and perhaps a little tiny bit sad. “You've got all kinds of things lined up after you wrap, do you?”
“Just one thing. And then one thing after that.” She smiled and winked. “I have plans. But only the one project official.”
“Well, that’s good! Playing it by ear, see what comes up.” Zelda gave her a bright grin. “I only have plans to the end of the year, then my schedule is wide open.”
“That will change,” Natasha promised. “And as I understand it there is casting coming up for my next project. You should try out.”
“Really?” Zelda asked, perking up considerably. “That’d be wonderful!” Wears her heart on her sleeve, this one. “What’s the project? Is it after December? I’d love to! Are there any roles for me?”
“I don’t know. Think of it like Red Sonja meets Sci-fi. There’s another project I want to do after that that’s more serious and melodramatic, too!”
“Well, you’ve got my help, whatever you need. Acting, producing, whatever resources I’ve got.” And those were considerable. “I’d love to work together, even if it’s only behind the camera!” Though, of course, Zelda would prefer to be in front of the camera these days. She loved acting.
“It will be fun. And I hope you get a part.” She raised her coffee in toast.
“Thanks. Me, too.” She lifted her cup in a toast as well, then sipped.
