Who: Carol and Jess What: Welding the microwave When: This weekend Where: Their house Rating: PG for some .. gropey stuff Status: Complete
Hearing a noise from the bathroom, Jess went to find out what Carol was doing in the kitchen. “What the heck are you doing?” she grumbled. She’d been having dreams again. She wondered if they would ever stop.
“I kind of broke it,” She lifted her head from the microwave, which had been pulled into it’s component parts. Her cheeks were smudged and there was a beam going from her finger onto a board. She shut her power off. “So I’m fixing it.”
The brunette’s eyebrows rose up a little. “So I see.” Poor microwave. “Are you sure you’re actually.. fixing it? I mean no offense. But it kind of looks like you.. destroyed it.” Of course Jess didn’t know anything about fixing microwaves.
“Sometimes to create you have to destroy,” she replied stoically. “I think I fried something so I’m trying to reroute the circuits. Otherwise it’ll just blink 0 at us until the end of time and never actually turn on.”
She couldn’t help but laugh a little at Carol’s antics. “Fair enough. If all else fails, we could just spring for a new one. They’re not that much money.” She’d wait until Carol broke it all the way though. “Some kind of new power?”
“Something I’ve always had but didn’t really think about until recently. I fixed the Avengers coffee maker this way once.” She flashed a grin. Sometimes she tended to really embrace the dream-self. “Going to make working on my plane a lot easier.”
“Well at least when a power breaks something, you have another one to fix it back up.” That had to be handy. Jess wasn’t sure about her dream-self still. “I had a dream last night. About being abducted and replaced by aliens. I’m not even joking.”
“....” Carol folded her arms, only making a little distressed sound. The sort of sound one made when they knew more than they should have about a bad subject but had never actually said something about it. “..Yeah?”
Jess couldn’t help but laugh a little. She watched for a moment, leaning up against the door frame to just watch her. It was amusing. But maybe she wasn’t making that noise about the microwave. Her expression turned serious. “Yeah. Skrulls. Do you .. know what that is?”
"Yeah. Shapeshifters. Bad news." She didn't have any really good memories about them. They'd all been bad. "They kinda ruined your rep."
That’s what she had been afraid of. “Some.. queen Skrull totally fucks up everything, doesn’t she? And meanwhile no one knows I’m not me. Fucking aliens.” Jess didn’t like it one bit. “Don’t think my rep was all that good to begin with, love.”
“Well this made it even worse,” Carol admitted. She dropped her arms and walked over, kissing Jessica’s temple. “None of us came out of that smelling good.”
“Guess not when you’re being body snatched.” She was glad that it was all in their dreams and not a reality. Jess smiled and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend. “Figure that out yet?”
“I think I can fix our microwave. We won’t need to buy a new one! It’s remarkably simpler than my air plane.” She grinned. “And you know. I’m used to cosmic rays.” Carol nuzzled at Jess’s cheek.
“Okay but I’ll be waiting for when we go to the store to pick up a new one just in case,” she teased lightly. “I really hope microwaves are simpler,” Jess agreed, giving her a light kiss on the lips.
“I can fix it. Really!” Carol made a humphing sound, but her grumpiness was faked, and easily forgotten with light kisses. She smirked lightly.
Jess just laughed as she kissed her again. She would quit teasing. For now. She smirked back and snuggled into her. “What do you want to do today?”
“You mean after I have my way with you? I want to go out. I’m not too picky where, but nothing involving either of our works.” She’d also be happy if nothing involving avengery stuff happened too.
All she could do in return is grab Carol and kiss her quite soundly. Her hands slid up her backside, groping her just a bit. “Sex first. Stuff later,” Jess agreed.
Microwaves and going out suddenly became the last thing on Carol’s mind. She kissed Jess deeply, lifting her up with her arms around her waist and fumbling them towards … something crashed to the floor, but she’d worry about that later.
Pulling at Carol’s clothes, Jess’ hands slid along the smooth flesh, as her mouth found her neck. This was so much better than microwaves.
Groaning, Carol ran her fingers and hands over Jess's warm skin. Every time she touched her she was grateful. The blonde whimpered, tilting her head and wrapping one long leg around Jess's waist. Carol loved to fly and Jess made her soar like few things did.
