Carol was free falling, the world tumbling below her as she span in the air. The sash around her waist streamed behind her like a ribbon, her eyes looking like pools of silver behind the mask. The world grew larger, the ground closer, and then the sound of air breaking around her thundered through the sky and she pulled up, shooting a dozen feet above the street and weaving through the buildings.
Standing atop one building, just hanging out and drinking a chocolate milk, was one Billy Batson, currently in the body of One Lorna Dane. Not sure what to do during this week, he was mostly laying low, and enjoyed wandering. This building, the studio he worked at normally, was closed today and he had used his card key to go to his locker, then up the outside stairwell to just watch the city.
When the woman came thundering past, Billy laughed and whooped.
He cheered her on, smiling wistfully for his not present in this body flight powers.
She shot up in a great arching loop, and came to hover in front of Billy. She gave him a bow. “Enjoy the show?”
He nodded, bouncing, which did interesting things in the body he was in now, and the outfit, a t-shirt that was tight, and had a scoop neck, and the skirt, which bounced a lot, when he did. He didn’t notice, really, and grinned at her. “I did! And miss my own flight powers.”
“You miss... oh you’re in the wrong body?” She landed next to Billy, curious now. “Do I know you?”
Billy chuckled. “It’s Billy, Carol. in the body of one Lorna Dane. temporarily not so marvelous.”
“That’s a pretty nice body to end up in,” Carol replied, her smile turning into a smirk. “Even if I don’t usually look at other women who aren’t Jess. Still flying that old plane of your family’s?”
Billy blushed, but grinned, and there might have been a shift in his stance, and that chest puffed out a bit. What? It was safe. She was taken, and he liked someone. Neither of them would do anything but look.
“It’s rather nice to be in, I have to admit. I am. and enjoying it. It’s more fun to go flying on my own power, though.” He grinned at her, eyes warm and maybe just maybe letting his tongue swirl across those lips, just a little fun, really..
Carol laughed. “I’m sure you’re enjoying it. More than when you got all big?”
Billy hmmed, then shook his head. “”Not really? I mean it’s fun in the short run to see how the other side lives, but I also can’t get too excited or else lose control of powers that could wreck the city, and despite it sort of being cool to have breasts to play with and all, it’s also a little disturbing, in a lot of ways.” He chuckled. “So not as fun as that, but still okay?”
He glanced down then chuckled.
“I like breasts, but I’ve always preferred showing off my cannons.” She smacked her palms into her thighs.
Billy eyed them then nodded, grinning with an amused, and an admiring light in his eyes. “Very nice cannons, as are all your assets, Carol.” He smiled to her, cheeks flushed as he tried not to remember seeing her completely naked one day a few months ago.
“How is your plane doing? Take her up recently?” Change of subject? Why yes!
“Both are doing pretty good. My Cessna is grounded for repairs, but the F-16 is doing beautifully.” She winked.
“Sweet!” Billy bounced again, forgetting for a moment the body he was in, his eyes alive with excitement. “I wish I could go up in the ‘16. I know I can’t, I never even finished a simulator of the simulator, but man... I wish.” He grinned at her, the envy of one pilot to another. “Maybe I can go a flyby in Cap from sometime, when you take her out?” Hope shone in his eyes.
“When you’re yourself again, I’ll take you up. Promise.” She clapped Billy on the shoulders, lighter than she would have otherwise.
“Thanks!” He grinned and nodded to her, then smiled out at the city. “It’s beautiful from up here. Not as cool as flying, but I like coming up here to chill out and just enjoy things. Also, it’s blocked off from view by other buildings, so it feels private.” He liked that.
A random thought ran through his head. He wasn’t wearing a bra, and he smirked as he pondered flashing Carol before she took off, just because.
“Privacy is nice. I like to touch the edge of space... I can’t really breathe up there, but I don’t need a space suit and if I had air I can stay longer than just holding my breath. But I like to touch it.” She stretched her fingers up, like she was reaching for the stars.
“Hmmm, have you thought about getting a scuba oxygen tank? So you can breathe in air, and breathe out into the space, and stay longer?” He grinned at her. It seemed like a cool idea to him.
He glanced upward. “I haven’t gone all the way up yet. Not sure if I can.”
“You know, that’s not a bad idea,” Carol mused, looking up. “And the only way to know is to try. Just be careful on the way down. Re-entry burn is a bitch.”
Billy nodded, looking up. “Someday...” He smiled at her, eyes dancing. “I can imagine. Almost like getting hit by giant alien space lasers?”
“Yes, but a lot more fun. That rollercoaster feeling in your stomach.” She grinned at him. “When you’re ready, I’ll race you.”
“Sounds like fun.” Billy smirked. “For now, I’m just trying to enjoy the new plumbing, and having fun, some.”
He blushed, but grinned at her.
“I can’t blame you. I’d enjoy the new plumbing too.” With a laugh, Carol shot straight up. She had the sudden urge to touch the sky.
Billy laughed, then called her name. “Hey, Carol!” and if she looked back, she would get a good look at the rather impressive tracts of land that Lorna had, before Billy laughed and headed out.
