Who: Tali'Zorah vas Normandy and Sarah Kerrigan. What: Jeopardy-friendliness on a whole new level. Where: Garrus and Tali's apartment. When: Backdated to late Saturday night. Rating: TBD, but probably medium-high for violence and language. Status: Complete.
It was looking to be another sleepless night, and Tali's nerves were shot to all hell. The day had started out decently, despite the recurring space-nightmares; her trip to Urdnot Ranch had been pleasant and had distracted her from her less-than-legal favors for friends (and the fact that she had yet to discuss them with Garrus). There had been a little hiccup, finding out she was supposed to be working with Dr. Bruce Banner. Working alongside a man who'd killed someone in anger and was then acquitted for it? There was a large part of her that was very much not okay with that. She didn't have much time to dwell on it, though, because things had gotten strange: without much detail, Garrus had told her in no uncertain terms to stay put, secured the apartment, and left. Because that wasn't cryptic and panic-inducing at all.
That didn't mean she was going to argue. She felt fairly secure in the apartment; the security system wasn't fully built yet, but it was partially implemented and strong enough that Tali wasn't going to panic over every little noise. It'd alert her to a perimeter breach, at least, and she was on the opposite side of the apartment from the front door. Instead, she'd decided to take the time to keep digging at this Jim Raynor thing Shepard had her looking at. There had been little so far, beyond the official story– except for one extremely encrypted file that mentioned something called 'Ghost'. She'd been working on cracking it for almost two hours now. Whatever was in that file, someone really didn't want anyone getting in. But she was still the Admiral, even if she was trying to go straight. She'd crack it eventually.
