Verity sat up, set her water aside, and accepted the bag. "Thank you. You should sit." She added, motioning to a spot next to her. The sofa beside the chair had an open spot on the end. It was close enough so that they could talk without being overheard.
She opened the bag and breathed in the smell of the burger and fries. It was like heaven.
"So," she said as she dug burger out of bag, "am I allowed to ask you about your hair?" It'd gotten greyer since the last time she'd seen him.
