As the sun peeked into the room, Link opened his eyes like he did on every morning, early riser that he was. But this morning was not the same as every morning, because laying beside him, inches away, was the Princess of Hyrule. Zelda. His heart’s deepest desire for what felt like centuries. She was beside him, in his bed, and his brain was filled with memories of the previous night which might have been relegated to fantasy. But they were real. So real, that he felt like he could still touch them as easily as he could touch the Princess herself.
Zelda was still out cold. Not only did she rarely wake this early (unless it was related to visiting Link or getting to the set for work) but last night’s activities had completely tuckered her out. This was a girl who’d never really felt pleasure or pain the way she’d experienced it with him. It’d been the best night of her life without question, but all best nights turn into mornings after. She gave a little sigh in her sleep, turning a bit so the sun hit her face.
It hadn’t been a night out of the movies. Not everything had gone “perfectly”. They were two awkward, somewhat bumbling young people, haphazardly striving to outdo one another on a quest for... glory? Link made himself laugh, recalling a moment when he’d accidentally bit the tip of Zelda’s nose.
The laugh made her stir. She came out of whatever dream she'd been having, taking a moment to try and remember where she was, why she was still naked, who was in bed with her... but it all came to her quickly. She turned to smile sleepily at Link beside her. Her eyes were barely open. "Morning."
Link, who was propped up on one elbow, leaned down to kiss her. He didn’t care about possible morning breath and hopefully she didn’t either. “Good morning,” he said, snuggling down beside her. “Sorry if I woke you.”
Zelda didn’t care. Or she didn’t really know to care. She enjoyed his kisses, she loved the smell of him, the feel of him. Morning breath or no. “It’s okay. I’d rather be awake.” She whispered, lifting an arm to wrap around him. The sheets were a tangled mess between them.
He fought through the sheets to feel her body against his, relishing the skin-to-skin contact. “And last night... everything was good?” he asked, his eyes widening. Link wanted to hear it again, just to prove to himself that it truly hadn’t been a dream.
She could feel herself blushing as she cuddled close up against him. “...everything was wonderful.” He’d done things she didn’t know were possible. Though, of course, there was awkward. Like when she accidentally knee’d him in the stomach. Or when his hand was pinning her hair to the pillow. That was just the way it went for two young, inexperienced lovers figuring their way out around things. For the most part, though, just being able to touch him, having him touch her? It was absolutely magical. “Thank you.”
He lifted one of his fair eyebrows. “...Saying you’re welcome sounds funny,” he said, still chuckling a little bit. He kissed the top of her blonde head. And then he kissed it again for good measure. He’d only been awake for a few minutes, and already Link wanted to make love to her all over again.
Zelda closed her eyes and gave a sigh, running her hand up and down his back. She’d snaked it around him as they cuddled close together, and was enjoying the way his skin felt under her fingertips. “...am I supposed to feel sore?” She asked, and there was an embarrassed grin in her voice. “I feel sore.”
“I’m a little sore, too,” he replied. It had been a workout for muscles he hadn’t used in a good while. But then, Link’s eyes turned more serious. “How sore? Not too sore?” He didn’t like thinking that he’d actually hurt her.
The look on his face made her giggle. It was a sheepish, happy sound, like twinkling. She lifted one hand to cup his cheek and pulled him in to kiss his lips. “Not too sore. I’ve just... I haven’t had anything bigger than a tampon in there since I was sixteen,” she said, going bright red. He was definitely, definitely bigger than a tampon. In the best way possible. But vaginas were made to pass baby heads, so... she was fairly certain that hers could take almost anything he could do to it.
Link turned not just pink, but red at the mention of tampons. It was a word that made his brain go “…” and he didn’t know what to say in response, other than, “Um. Good.” He did remember that it took girls a while to get used to the stretching. Then again, he’d only been with one other girl, but they’d both been virgins. “It should get better.”
“Oh, I know it will.” Zelda said, grinning and blushing herself. The red on Link’s cheeks was so cute. So endearing. “Otherwise no one would do it more than once, right?” Not that she hadn’t enjoyed herself. Zelda hadn’t that first time when she was a teenager. She’d whimpered, winced, and waited for it to be over. Thankfully, it hadn’t taken long. And, now that she thought of it, she remembered being sore that time, too. Since then she’d been her own source of pleasure, so she knew that sex could be good, she had some idea of what she liked.
“Are you hungry? I’m starving.” Zelda said, beaming up at him. “Do we have to go milk cows now?”
Link shook his head. “No, I’ve taken care of everything. We have the entire day to ourselves.” He hadn’t told his farm hands that he was calling out on account of sex, of course. Occasionally, he took days off, for going into town. “Want pancakes?” he asked. He hoped Zelda would want naked pancakes.
"I'd love some pancakes." Zelda said, grinning. She leaned in to kiss him again. "Do I have to get dressed for some pancakes?" She asked, playfully. Of course, she could just grab some of his clothes to wear downstairs. Whatever was on the floor, shed last night. It'd smell like him--a smell that meant home to her now.
“Only if you really want to,” Link said, finally tossing the covers aside and sitting up. He popped out of bed. He made excellent pancakes, clothes or none.
Zelda laid back and watched him climb out of bed. Especially his strong legs and backside. Yum. Then she followed, letting the sheets fall off her body, trying not to feel shy. After all, he'd kissed nearly every inch of her skin last night. He was well acquainted. "Are you secretly a nudist?" She asked, teasing.
Link turned to take in the lovely sight of her. She still looked like something out of a dream, even with her bed-head and sleepy eyes. Especially with her bed-head and sleepy eyes. “I’m considering taking it up,” he said, taking advantage of the moment and hugging her again.
A little laugh and blush later, and her arms were around him, too. Zelda found herself nuzzling into the spot where his neck met his shoulder, breathing deeply. He smelled fantastic. That smell again. “I’ll join you. This feels especially nice.”
“Mmm,” Link hummed a happy note. Really, he couldn’t recall the last time he felt this effortlessly, unabashedly happy. It was so much more than just the release of sex. “Pancakes and anything else you want. I know you like your coffee extra strong.”
“I do like my coffee. I might have to get you one of those Keurig machines, if we’re going to make this a regular thing.” Please let us make this a regular thing, she thought. She didn’t want to let him go now she had her arms around him again.
Frankly, pressed against each other like this, Link was ready to go for it all over again. But he knew he needed some food or, well, he might pass out before he finished. Carbs and coffee sounded good. “C’mon. Let’s get our strength back up,” he said, taking her hand and finally starting out of the bedroom.
Zelda giggled as she followed after him. Her fingers laced through his as they moved out of his room and down the stairs. She was trying to memorize his house, where all the windows were. Just in case they made this naked thing a regular thing. Because she wanted to be relatively private. “Then maybe we can go back upstairs?” She was only half teasing.
“If we make it back upstairs,” he replied, only half teasing, as well.
