Bruce was still having a hard time adjusting. It was painfully obvious any time Bruce interacted with other people. It would take him a while to mellow out and stop being so skiddish. A part of him wished he could just snap right out of it, but five years living in a cave in the Colorado Rockies will do that to a person.
"Sorry," he said awkwardly. "I didn't realize you were -" he cut himself off. He wasn't really sure what they were up to. "I'll go."
