"I suppose it can," Cesare replied with a small, conceding shrug, nodding his head a little. At least that meant that his company was valued as highly as the drinks and he supposed that was enough, for now.
"I agree that drinking alone is too boring," he added after a moment, his eyebrows drawing together slightly. "Or too depressing." The only times he really drank by himself was when something was going wrong and he'd rather be in a bar, drowning his sorrows, than at home facing up to his problems.
Giving a little shudder, Cesare lifted his glass to his lips and finished off the rest of its contents. "Another, I think," he muttered, pushing his glass back across the bar and signalling for the bartender. "Same again, or are you still working on that one?"
