"Nothing like what, Ron?" Hermione hadn't even made a vague suggestion to what she thought they talked about. Ron just assumed. And yes, he was exactly right in assuming she was suspecting they talked about girls, but that was besides the point! Hermione wasn't one to admit to something like that. (Unless under heavy duress or severely depressed. She tried her best to avoid thinking with her heart... for all the good it did her!)
Hermione leaned over and dropped the book on top of the pile beside her nightstand. It was the fourteenth book on the pile, which nearly reached the top of her nightstand. And if she hadn't stacked them so carefully and leaned them against the nightstand, they probably would have toppled over. "Not everything is the zombie apocalypse, Ron. There aren't even any zombies yet." Hermione knew enough about science to know that it was becoming a possibility, but it certainly wasn't happening now.
