Peggy had been meeting with a client when the smoke had started, and had been, in fact, down the hall from where it had started. Luckily, she'd been evacuated relatively quickly, and was now waiting for a turn to get checked over for inhalation while her client went off to confer with someone or other in charge of everything for the moment.
This left Peggy alone for now, blinking in the sun as she wished she'd brought her sunglasses along, or was wearing something other than her heels. Professional again, yes, but when there were things like this, well, she sort of wanted to put her boots back on and live in them.
Glancing around at the mess that had occurred, she tried to make some sense of it, and her notes, hoping that this really had to do with someone being stupid and nothing connected to her work.
