I’ll get it there, quickly and discreetly. Is there anything I need to know?

Faith walked into the shop, looking around curiously, but not too curiously. In her line of work it was sometimes best to not learn too much about what your clients were doing. She took off her sunglasses.
The runner was wearing cargo pants, a black tanktop, and red running shoes. Rubbing at her shoulder, she walked up to the counter and rang a bell.
A cat appeared and rubbed against the bell in turn. But it was followed by a stately blonde woman holding a few boxes. “Oh, hello! Thanks for coming, I appreciate it.” She set the boxes down on the counter and held out her hand.
Absently petting the cat with one hand, Faith held out her hand and took the woman’s. “It’s no problem, nice to meet you. I understand you need something sensitive transported?”
“I do. These all go to Senator Hoffman’s fuckpad downtown.” Flemeth winked. “Worst kept secret in this whole state.”
Faith’s nose wrinkled up a little, but she nodded her head. Even she’d heard of that. “I’ll get it there, quickly and discreetly. Is there anything I need to know?”
“Just knock twice and leave it at the door.” She winked at the girl. “If he doesn’t pick it up, it’s nobody’s fault but his own. And obviously, you didn’t get it from me.”
“I don’t even know your name, ma’am.” Faith grinned. It was slightly cocky, and confident. She was already formulating the best path in her mind and her GPS would cover any gaps. Really, as long as it wouldn’t explode or make her sick, she wasn’t going to care what was in the boxes.
“Attagirl. How much do you charge?” Flemeth liked her already - spunk and discretion always made Flemeth happy.
She looked at the packages, guaged how heavy they were, the distance, and how sneaky she’d have to be, then named what she felt was a fair price with some room to negotiate if she had to.
Flemeth doubled it immediately. “I like being fair.”
Faith blinked, then nodded her head, though not without a wary look at the boxes. “I’m not going to say no to that. You have yourself a deal, ma’am. This shouldn’t take more than a few hours.” Caution was paramount.
Reaching out to shake the girl’s hand, Flemeth smiled. “Thanks. I appreciate you.”
“What do you need for proof?” Faith asked, as she unslung a yellow messenger bag.
“Oh, he’ll let me know. Don’t worry about it.” Flemeth smiled to herself. “He’s always good about emailing me.”
She nodded. “I’ll get this done then. Nice doing business with you.” She hefted her bag around. “I like your shop.”
“Thanks. Come by whenever you want, I’ll give you a necklace or something.
“Thanks!” Waving her hand, she headed out the door.
