"Maybe she's a super villain?"
Who: Azula, Jubilee, Kitty, and Ty Lee
What: The gymnasts enlist Kitty in trailing what Azula does on the weekends. Hilarty ensues.
When: Sunday!
Where: Azula's apartment, then the Black Thorn, then a smoothie stand.
Status: PG-13 for gimp masks. Nothing really brings this to an R.
trigger: Uhm, mild mentions of bondage and the girls worrying about Ty Lee's safety living with Azula
Azula waited a bit, for Ty Lee to come back from the day's training, but it seemed she was running a bit late. She'd bathed, and packed in some new toys for her duffel, and headed outside to go to her car.
Practice had run late, and then Ty Lee had decided to grab a quick, healthy lunch. She'd pretty much lost track of time after that - it was a gorgeous day! Then she'd missed her bus, and decided to walk to the next stop...
In any case she was walking down the sidewalk just as Azula was getting into her car.
Azula drove past her, then pulled a swerving U-turn and stopped next to Ty Lee, "There you are!"
Ty Lee waved at her, "Here I am! Was I missing?"
"You're late." Azula unlocked the door, "Get in."
"I got some lunch and missed the bus," Ty Lee shrugged, and got into the car, "Where are you off to?"
"Errands. Let me give you a ride home." Azula didn't wait for her to buckle up, and took off into traffic.
It wasn't really an offer so much as a demand, and Ty Lee simply nodded. She buckled up as Azula drove, and took a peek in the back seat, "What's in the bag? Are you going exercising?"
"Yes," Azula lied, easily. "I want to keep myself limber. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind leads to a healthy business."
"But... You could have come to practice with us, there's lots of space to exercise there. Why go alone?" Ty Lee sounded genuinely hurt that Azula hadn't thought of that.
"And have people see me?" Azula scoffed. The sound of the hurt in Ty Lee's voice made her grimace but she turned that into a sneer, "I have to keep myself perfect. You know that."
"It wouldn't have been too many poeple seeing you, not really," Ty Lee pointed out, then just nodded, "Yes, I know. I'm sorry, I should have been more considerate."
Always. Always Ty Lee would twist in the direction of whatever mood Azula was in. It was second nature, and expected and Azula wasn't sure how she'd react if the expected never happened. Part of her wanted to find out. She looked at Ty Lee, a frustarted hardness passing through her eyes before that sneer settled into place again, "How was your trainer?"
"I was glad that my sponsor found me one, but man am I sore now. She pushed me really hard." Ty Lee grinned at Azula, "I think my bar routine might even be redeemed."
"Good." There's a genuine glint in Azula's eyes. Her smile lost it's cruel edge. But it was a fleeting glimpse and it was gone by the time she'd pulled in front of their condo.
"I forgot something. It's in my closet, blue bag. Could you get if for me. Do not look in the bag."
"I'll be right back with it," Ty Lee hopped out of the car and quickly made her way into the condo. Azula was in a hurry, after all, and she didn't want to make Azula later to ... go exercise alone, by herself, than she could help.
Why didn't Azula want her to look in the bag? She headed into the bedroom and opened the closet, then stared at the bag for a few seconds. Surely one little PEEK wouldn't hurt...
Inside the bag was a new mask. It was similar to her old one but covered part of her jaw. It still left Azula's lips free, but it further obscured the woman's skin from touch and sight. A blue flame design danced along the seams of the leather.
What WAS This?
Ty Lee stared at it for a few more seconds before remembering that Azula was waiting for her and she wasn't supposed to be looking.
She zipped the bag shut, wondering if her brain would ever un-see the thing she had just exposed it to, then raced back outside and put it in the back seat, "There you go!"
"Good girl. Don't wait up." Azula adjusted her sunglasses, and then took off!
She wasn't sure if Ty Lee had looked, but she trusted her not to.
Mostly she didn't want to have to explain.
Ty Lee waved as she left, then pulled out her phone. She struggled between the urge to tell Jubilee what she'd just seen and the horrible breach of trust that would be between her and Azula.
It was a hobby that let Azula give into her cruelest tendencies. It was a hobby that taught her a level of control and precision that served her well in the board room. It tempered the anger that always burned inside of her, the anger at her family and her upbrining. It was irony that ultimately, she was the one at the mercy of those she dominated.
How could she explain that to her best friend?
Just exactly like that?
Maybe?
Curiousity finally gave in over anything else, and TY Lee called up Jubilee.
Jubilee answered her phone, "Hotness speaking!"
"Do you answer your phone like that every time?" Ty Lee giggled a bit, then the giggling cut off and she put on her super serious face.
Even though Jubilee couldn't see it.
"I have a serious emergency. Kind of. Well it's not a 9-1-1 emergency, but..." Ty Lee paused for a few seconds, then finally, "I kind of looked into a bag that I shouldn't have looked into and Azula has a leather mask in there!"
"Nope! Only when the Hotness feels like it!" Was that a super serious voice? It sounded like a super serious voice! "Wait. What? Hold on I didn't hear that correctly, she has WHAT?"
"SHE HAS A MASK ARE YOU HEARING THIS NOW?" Ty Lee shouted into her phone, "It's leather with blue flames along the seams. LEATHER MASK. AZULA HAS ONE."
"Wow..." Was all Jubilee could muster to say, "I was totes not serious about those jokes, yo!" Flames somehow made PERFECT SENSE, "Maybe she's a super villain?"
Ty Lee paced back and forth on their front sidewalk, "Super villain? Really!?... I guess. No that doesn't make any sense, we'd have heard about her crimes by now."
And why did she go straight to that thought instead of 'she'd never be a criminal'? Things to think about later? Ty Lee had lots of those.
"Any recent arsons?" Jubilee flipped through the muted tv. Somehow fire and Azula just made sense, "Was there anything else? Whips? A skeleton?"
"No, but she had another duffle bag in her car. She told me she was going to exercise. I thought that was kind of wierd, but Azula is... wierd sometimes." Ty Lee chewed on her lip, "I didn't think she was THIS wierd."
"She's going to exercise with a leather mask and a duffle bag." Jubilee guffawed, a long, raucous laugh that echoed in the phone, "This is AWESOME your roommate is psycho whip lady!"
"...WE HAVE TO FOLLOW HER." Ty Lee squeaked out, then coughed and eyedarted, "Except she's long gone already. But... I can't believe this, she works at one of those whips and chains places and how did I not SEE this?"
"WE? What's this WE crap. What do you WANT to get all handcuffs and crops with her?" Jubilee sounded horrified. Amused, but horrified! "She likes dishing out pain."
"No. No I don't want to get all handcuffs and crops with her, I don't even... crops? Really? I thought those were just used for horseback riding." It was like every single thought in Ty Lee's head had crashed to a grinding halt while she processed this entire concept.
After a few more seconds, she blinked again, "... anyway no, I just want to know where she goes. Maybe it wasn't for whips and chains. Maybe it's something else."
"Spank spank baby, but I'm trying real hard to figure out what else it could be."
Jubilee had a sudden thought and it was one of the most AWESOME of thoughs, "What if she's a luchador?"
"A ... what now?" Ty Lee took her phone away from her face to literally stare at it in confusion.
"Mexican wrestling? Come on do you live under a rock?"
"I know what Mexican Wrestling IS when you CALL it that instead of some wierd... probably Mexican name okay fine but still." Ty Lee sighed, "I want to know where she works. She's always so annoyed when I'm off doing secret things and I think she deserves a taste of her own medicine."
Did that just come out of her mouth? Oops.
"...little Ty Lee is growing a pair of ball!" Jubilee hopped to her feet, "Hotness is in! I'll come by and pick you up and we're gonna do some SPYING!"
"Should I wear something skin tight and black?" Ty Lee wondered, while she headed back into the condo to change.
Jubilee snerked, "Sure, why the hell not!"
"I've never spied like this before, I figured black was kind of mandatory," Ty Lee shrugged and headed into her bedroom, "I have to feed Zuko before we go, don't let me forget."
"Feed Zuko before we go." Jubilee laughed and hung up, then dressed in a black outfit with a yellow shirt before running for her car.
"... Well I meant when you- Sigh." Ty Lee dropped her phone on the bed and searched her closet for appropriate espionage type clothing. It took awhile to find a black shirt she was happy with!
She wished she had a mask SHE could wear so that Azula didn't recognize her, but there wasn't really anything to be done about that.
She grabbed her phone and keys, fed the chinchilla, and armed the alarm, then sat around on the front steps waiting.
A few moments after she sat down, Jubilee arrived in her VW bug, "Okay so, uh, I called a friend and she's looking for like.....places like that and shit. So we know where to look. I talked her into meeting us there once she finds it, since Azula won't recognize her."
Jubilee's plan was brilliant. And whining, cajoling, begging pleading and finally bribing had finally earned Kitty's cooperation.
"I was really worried about that, it's like we share a brain!" Ty Lee grinned at Jubilee and hopped into her car, "Azula could recognize me from a mile away, even in this sneaky spy outfit."
"That's a hot spy outfit," Jubilee admitted, pulling out into the road. "Hey if she recognizes you maybe you can get some unf action!"
There was about 3 seconds of actual fear that Ty Lee swallowed down, then she eyedarted, "I don't think I want that kind of unf action. I'm still looking for a boyfriend. I flirted with this guy on the valarnet but I think he was oblivious. The internet is impervious to my girly charms."
She sounded so very bummed about that.
"That's because the internet can't see your bright smile!" She patted her friend's leg.
"Maybe I'll just get one of those guys who drool over me at practice and take him out for smoothies." Ty Lee thought about that and nodded. What's the worse that could happen?
"Hey, that's not a bad idea! Get that tall guy, the one with the cornrows. He's hot."
"I was thinking of the kind of dorky-cute short one who stares at me with the wibble-eyes."
Jubilee shook her head, "You need someone that would really piss off Azula. She'd just mock the poor guy!"
"Yes, but the poor little dorky-cute one would really piss her off, because she'd be furious that I'd choose someone so pitiful over someone so obviously superior for me."
"...I'm not sure if it works that way but you know Bitchzilla better than me," Jubilee admitted, shrugging.
"I'm just winging it," Ty Lee admitted with a carefree smile and a shrug, "Speaking of smoothies, we should totally stop for one. After spying. Smoothies are a great after-spying activity. With your friend that I havn't met yet!"
Jubilee grinned, "SMOOOOOTHIES!!!!" She sped up, checking her phone, "She thinks she found the place!"
"This calls for the serious face!" Ty Lee did her best imitation of the Glass Mask face-donning scene. That probably only a precious few people in the entire world would get the reference of.
Jubilee was one of those, "No no it goes like THIS!"
"HANDS ON WHEEL."
"AAH!" The car swerved before Jubilee put her hands back on the wheel, "Anyway, that's how you do it!"
"You messed up my serious face and turned into scared-I'm-going-to-die face! Now I must donn the face of serious once more!" And she made the gesture again, this time more like the hotness had demonstrated.
"Much better!"
The drive was longer than she figured. Azula seemed to like to go far away and into a less than savory neighborhood, filled with strip clubs and seedy bars.
Ty Lee ran out of fingers to count them on.
"Work the toes! The toes! And my fingers!"
"I think we're going to run out of fingers and toes, even if I use yours!" Ty Lee laughed. It wasn't actually that shocking that Azula would come to a neighborhood like this. For her, it was more that she didn't understand why Azula had decided to come here alone.
Sure, friends deserved to have time to themselves - Azula didn't come with HER to practice or anything - but most of what they did, even alone, was out in the open.
Jubilee figured it was the secrecy that bothered Ty Lee the most. But what did she expect from a so-called friend who probably lied to her on a regular basis? "I think I was gonna drag Kit Kat to that one but we ended up playing the drinking game to Twilight instead."
"How does that drinking game work? Take a shot for every time Kristen Stewart doesn't have an expression?" Ty Lee giggled, then arched a brow as they passed a corner with scantily clad women lounging around, "Were those prostitutes?"
"Exactly!" Jubilee slowed down and craned her neck, "ohmigod those were totally whores! WE SAW SOME WHORES!" This was turning into an awesome trip!
"I wonder what their life is like. They looked so lonely." Ty Lee mused, then giggled, "It would be kind of fun to hire one and then just take her out for ice cream."
It was a random thought, but it was better than thinking about how worried she was.
Kitty could tell her stories about that. She was waiting for them in a parking lot, leaning against her motorcycle, playing with her phone. She looked up when Jubilee pulled in, "It's impossible to say no to you."
Jubilee grinned at her, "That's okay, it's impossible to say no to Ty Lee!"
Kitty looked between them, "God, you have a clone. The world is screwed!"
Ty Lee laughed, "Well not a complete clone! But I AM really glad that you could do this for us."
She bounced up to Kitty and greeted her with a hug. Personal space? What was that?
Wow, personal space totally didn't exist. Kitty laughed and hugged Ty Lee back, "Nice to meet you. What exactly is going on and why are we stalking someone?"
"I found a black mask in a bag that Azula told me not to look into. But I was curious, she's been so..." Ty Lee searched for a word that wasn't 'bitchy', because Azula was always sort of bitchy, "Extra distant lately. And she lied about where she was headed."
Azula always lied, so why did it hurt that Ty Lee had actually caught her in one? She put her hands on her hips for a moment, "I'm going to ... I don't know. Say some very unkind words to her." Maybe.
"Like a gimp mask?"
Jubilee snapped her neck around and stared at Kitty.
Kitty darted her eyes, "What?"
"Jubilee said it might also be a Mexican Wrestling mask." Ty Lee shrugged.
"Well..that's a possibility too," Kitty allowed, ignoring the look on Jubilee's face. It was the look that said she wouldn't hear the last of this.
"So anyway, I think she's in that building there." Kitty pointed. "There's a woman listed on the website as "Blue Flame" who's available on weekends, around the time you say Azula goes out. And with the description of the mask.." She shrugged.
Ty Lee looked over at the building. It didn't look all that special to her, but she supposed it wasn't likely that a whips and chains place was going to have whips and chains dangling on the outside of it or anything. That would just be pretty silly.
"I don't know if we should all go in there, though. Azula will recognize most of us."
Jubilee burst into a huge, huge grin, "Hey Kit Kat."
"No!"
"Come on! We need to see if that's really her!"
Kitty shook her head, "Firstly, how can I tell, if she's wearing a mask? Secondly, I have a girlfriend."
"So? You don't have to go through with it." Jubilee's grin widened, "Unless you're really curious."
Kitty flushed, "I am but I'm not doing anything that's not with Xi'an."
Which was really sweet, Jubilee had to admit. She even went 'awwwww' at her, "Maybe they have a gift shop."
Deadpan, Kitty replied, "Oh yes." She affected a light tone, "Xi'an dear for our first time I want you to tie me up and spank me."
She then thwacked Jubilee, for good measure.
"I hear that's really more of a 5th date kind of thing," Ty Lee offered, helpfully.
She sighed, then, and glanced at Jubilee before looking at Kitty. She hated having to do this, but... PUPPY EYES. "Please? I just need to be sure before I go tossing accusations at her."
Jubilee added her own puppy eyes to Ty Lee's, and Kitty was faced with two incredibly cute women giving her puppy eyes.
Resistance was futile, and shoulders slumping, she nodded her head, "Okay, fine.."
"Thank you so much!" Ty Lee hugged her again, "I'm sure it won't be that bad. Maybe you'll have fun!"
Kitty shot Jubilee a look over Ty Lee's shoulder, "Yeah, sure I'll have some fun. Now how the hell am I supposed to tell if it's her?"
"Well I guess by the mask? It looked like it covered everything but her eyes and her mouth. It had blue flames along the seam... I don't know if everyone in there wears the same one, but I kind of doubt it."
Kitty handed Ty Lee her helmet, "If I don't come out in twenty minutes, come after me."
Ty Lee took the helmet and saluted at her, "Yes Ma'am!"
Jubilee watched Kitty go in, then folded her arms, "She's so brave."
Kitty headed inside. It was pretty creepy, they really played up the whole thorn and dungeon decor thing. If she wasn't so nervous she would have started laughing at how corny it looked.
She stopped and darted into a dark corner as a big man with broad shoulders walked by. Once the coast was clear, she started creeping down the hallway, listening.
A door opened, and she flattened herself against the wall as a woman walked out. She wore the mask with blue flames, and what looked like a crisp new black leather corset, with blue stitches and laces. Her eyes were drawn downward, and she swallowed. Very nice legs, in a very nice pair of boots that ended on a very nice ass.
Azula straightened her gloves, turning to go to her favorite room. The new leathers fit better than her old ones, and she liked the blue and black theme. She saw something out of the corner of her eye and like Lightning lashed out to pin the person against the wall.
Kitty moved just a split second faster, grabbing Azula by the wrist and using her own momentum to send her crashing into the wall. She ran down the corridor, until something wrapped around her ankle.
Azula yanked her whip, sending Kitty flailing towards the ground. The older woman stopped her fall with her good hand before she could rebreak the arm that was still healing.
Azula pressed a knee into Kitty's back and pulled her head back by the hair. She whispered in her ear, "Someone's been a very bad girl."
Jubilee checked her clock, "Think we need to save her?"
"I'm getting kind of worried," Ty Lee admitted, and hugged Kitty's helmet against her.
"She's been in there awhile..."
"It's been more than 20 minutes. We're just going to have to be brave." Ty Lee nodded, like her mind was made up, and started heading for the door.
"Son of a bitch." Jubilee followed her. She wondered if they did have a gift shop.
It was pretty unlikely that a place like this had a gift shop, but anything was possible.
Ty Lee wasn't sure how one even acted in a place like this. She waved cheerfully at the bouncer on her way in, then decided that was way too cheerful and put her serious face back on. The decore was pretty cheesy, and she tried not to giggle. Azula worked HERE?
If there was a gift shop, Jubilee was going to buy something. Laura struck her as the kind of girl who'd appreciate a bit of gothic jewellry or chokers. Which are better than dog collars, damn it.
"Wow this place is hysterically awesome!"
It might actually have been a good thing that Ty Lee showed up at the place with that dog collar on. Not too many people in that scene were going to bother someone who might be a submissive and might belong to one of the Doms working there.
Most people stayed out of their way, though there were a few questioning looks here and there. Ty Lee looked around for Kitty, or anyone with blue flames on them.
There was a room marked in use at the end of the corridor. Jubilee thought she heard a familiar whimper and pointed at it while tugging on Ty Lee's sleeve. She whispered, "She's in there!"
Ty Lee stopped staring at the really big guy in the corner who was currently tied up all kinky like, and whipped her head around to see which way Jubilee was pointing, "Should we just... crash on in?"
"She's your friend, what do you think she'd do?"
"I'm torn between the idea that she'd whip us to death and the idea that she'd be too shocked to see us both to think about anything but her own self-image and its preservation," Ty Lee admitted, without hesitation, "I'm leaning towards the second one, though?"
"And when you're home alone with her?" Jubilee put a hand on Ty Lee's arm, "Maybe you should wait outside, yo?" She didn't want to go in alone, but she really did believe Azula might get abusive with Ty Lee, and that was written on her face.
"The most she'll do is yell at me furiously and then lock herself in her room," Ty Lee gave Jubilee a reassuring smile. She was confident that Azula wouldn't physically harm her, anyway. She was only ever afraid of Azula's sharp tongue.
Of course she'd thought she'd known Azula well enough not to get involved with something like this. Maybe she didn't know Azula as well as she thought. Still, she had a hard time beleiving Azula would ever actually INJURE her.
Jubilee didn't quite believe her, "Okay then." She pushed the door open!
Inside was a woman, wearing the blue flame mask. She glanced at the door and her eyes widened slightly before narrowing. She gave no other indication of recognition, and gave them that charismatically cruel smile of hers.
There was a man hogtied and strapped to a wooden beam, but it wasn't Kitty. Kitty was standing on the other side of the woman, wearing Azula's old red and black mask and was turning a crank.
She waggled her fingers at Jubilee, "I was getting tips. She thinks I have potential." She was glad to see them. She thought she was probably next, and was running out of ideas on how to escape.
Jubilee facepalmed.
Azula didn't speak, merely trailed a crop along the man's leg, without looking away from Ty Lee and Jubilee.
Ty Lee stared at the scene in question. She wasn't really sure what to do now or even where to begin. And she had questions. Like... what was that guy doing on the beam, anyway? And what did the crank that Kitty was turning actually DO?
She opened her mouth and then shut it, glanced at Jubilee, then opened her mouth again, "... We need the black and red leather-wearer down the hall."
Kitty wasn't sure either, but the guy seemed to be enjoying it. She thought. She slipped over to Jubilee, "Yeah I'll show you!"
Azula smacked the crop hard on the man's stomach, then strode slowly over to Ty Lee. She hooked a finger through the loop of the dog collar and pulled her closer, eye to eye and chest to chest. She was wearing ruby red lipstick, and smelled of leather and a sort of flowery body wash. Amber-orange eyes burned, the emotion in them swirling between anger and something else.
"Hello. Sorry to bother you here. I'm sure you and this guy have ... things that you want to get back to."
She was probably going to be screamed at later on tonight or tomorrow. That might actually be kind of fun. Why would that be fun? OKay really the idea was somewhat terrifying, but there was the thought that she could say a few things she'd had on her mind while they were fighting, that she normally wouldn't say. She could blame it on the fight later and Azula might give her a pass.
Azula stroked her other hand down Ty Lee's back, her breath warm on her friend's face. Then she grabbed onto the woman's braid and pulled her head back. She looked like she was contemplating licking her neck.
Jubilee paniced, grabbing Ty Lee and yanking her backwards. She grabbed Kitty's hand as well and then was pulling them out of the room, Azula's laughter following them.
"Okay well at least we know it's her now," Ty Lee sounded super extra upbeat, "Let's get out of here and go get smoothies before Kitty here ends up becoming a permanent fixture here."
"I am not going to become a permanent fixture!" She ran up to her bike, embarrassed.
"I'm sorry that you ended up in that position," Ty Lee frowned, then put the smile back on her face and giggled, "It looked like you were almost having fun in there though."
"Maybe a little," Kitty admitted. "Though I don't think I could get off on actually dishing out pain."
Jubilee leaned over and murmured to Ty Lee, "Bet she wishes she was the one on that--" Kitty thwapped her in the arm!
Ty Lee held up her hands, "I don't need to know!"
"The Hotness feels like her opinion is being ignored." She rolled her eyes, then got into the bug. "Lead on, Kit Kat!"
"I wasn't sure if she was going to kiss you or bite you, there." Kitty straddled her bike, and pulled her helmet on.
"Neither was I," Ty Lee got into the bug and loosened the collar around her neck a bit. She was in desperate need of comfort smoothies.
Kitty pulled out first, and Jubilee followed. She led them out of that creepy neighborhood, and then farther away, until she found a smoothie stand she'd visited before. She pulled into a nearby parking lot, Jubilee easing in beside her.
Ty Lee hopped out of the bug and bounced up to the counter, like the entirety of the last hour had never even happened. It was like she had some magical ability to pretend that life was fine, even in the absolute face of life not being fine. Denial, it wasn't just a river.
She ordered something with an overload of berries in it, then turned to the other two girls, "I'm buying!"
"Give me something tangy," Kitty said. She wanted a bite to her smoothie today. Jubilee went for the one with the most sugar to water ratio.
Smoothies all collected in her arms, Ty Lee headed over to a nice clean table. She set them all down, "Smoothies make everything better. The only thing better than smoothies is milk tea. Oh and ice cream. OH and those little roasted sweet apples on a stick you can get some asian places."
"Fireworks?" Asked Jubilee.
"Oooo, Fireworks!"
"So there's a whole list of things better than smoothies." Kitty took her smoothie, "Thanks."
She sat down next to Jubilee, "Can you explain why we felt the need to send me into a sex dungeon?"
"She's been disappearing a lot. Then she lied and told me she was going off to exercise. I don't know, I just ... wanted to know." Ty Lee sipped at her smoothie, "She has a heart attack when she doesn't know where I am every second. It's only fair."
"Technically that is exercise," Kitty said, smirking at her. "You burn a lot of calories during sex, and there's an extra level of, uhm..exertion there, I think."
Jubilee elbowed the brunette, "It's still a lie! I swear to god, Azula always lies."
Kitty elbowed Jubilee back, "She sounds kind of controlling, Ty Lee. But you're right, fair is fair."
"She isn't kind of controlling," Ty Lee said, cheerfully, "She's very controlling. She's just used to having control over every single thing. It's not really a big deal. I let her think she's in charge."
"You let her think she's in charge?" Jubilee took a long noisy swip from her straw, "Are you really saying you're in charge?"
"Well I wasn't in charge back there, no, but..." Ty Lee sighed, trying to explain how complicated her and Azula's relationship was. It was missing a dynamic, too, since Mai wasn't around, "The other day she wanted to buy a big, huge, poisonous, dog-eating snake. I wanted a cute fluffy chinchilla. So I... well. I pretended it was stupid and lame."
"You..manipulated her." Kitty started laughing, "That's pretty awesome. Do you do that alot?"
She gave Jubilee a side-eye, who gave her one back. What sort of friendship was based on mutual manipulation?
Jubilee patted Ty Lee's hand, "I...just be careful, okay? The Hotness is worried. And she can't see what you see."
"I did. It's not something I would normally openly admit, but The Hotness has been so worried, I just had to say something." Ty Lee nodded her head a few times, then added, with a less than cheerful face, "I'm not really proud of it. Well sometimes I am. A snake would have been horrible, since I'd end up being the one feeding it."
She took a loooong sip and then nodded at Jubilee, "I know. I don't think anyone else can. But if she ever DOES really hurt me, I'll move out."
"You can stay with me, 100% guarantee!" Jubilee pumped her fist into the air! "Its a tiny apartment, not like that huge condo you're in. Doesn't that thing have like five bedrooms?"
"I can show you a few moves that can let you use her weight and momentum against her." Kitty looked up from her drink.
Ty Lee nod nod nodded at Jubilee, "It's huge. I don't need to live in a huge house, but it IS awful nice."
Then she turned to Kitty, "I don't know. I don't like the idea of learning self defense techniques just to use on my best friend."
"What about learning them to use in case some big man comes to beat you up?" Kitty raised an eyebrow.
Jubilee kicked Kitty under the table. Wait, she agreed with this idea! She nodded her head enthusiastically, "You can teach us both! Isn't being a ninja half about grace and agility, too?"
"I guess it couldn't hurt to learn a few things. Maybe we could even work some of the moves into gymnastics!" Ty Lee nodded her head. Kitty made a good point, after all. If that hadn't been Azula in there, what would she have done?
Relieved, Kitty nodded her head, "Okay. I'll show you couple of moves before we go home, and then if you'd like..hell maybe we should sign up for courses. Earn ourselves real belts?"
"Do you think we could fit that into our schedules? How much do you think the courses would cost?" the idea sounded pretty good. She could stay limber and strong while learning some new moves. She'd heard it helped with inner-balance, too, and that was a strong selling point. Her aura had been less than pink these past few days.
"Not too much," Kitty replied. "I'll want to look at different styles." She wanted to find something closest to what she actually knew. Or something that allowed freedom to adapt, like Jeet Kun Do.
"It sounds like fun. I think we can pull this off!" It would be a good chance for Jubilee to hang with her friends, too. And maybe she'll learn something to show off for for Laura.
Not that she was thinking that. Only she was.
Laura and Juuubes sitting in a tree. Ty Lee was going to tease her senseless when she found out. "I'll have to see if my sponsor will fund it. I don't think that will be a problem, though. It'll keep me in shape between tournaments and practices."
"All right, excellent! I'll get in contact with you guys when I find the best one I can." Kitty was beaming - this had turned from a really bad day, into a really good one.
Jubilee had an idea, "Hey, maybe Xi'an and the kids could come by? I totes need to meet her still."
Kitty flushed. She wasn't sure taking Xi'an to an activity she might not be able to take part in was a good idea, "I'll bring it up with her."
"I want to meet them, too. I love kids!"
"Hanging out with the both of you is more exhausting than watching them." Kitty stuck her tongue out.
"Only when we want you to infiltrate sex clubs for us."
Jubilee grinned, "And we promise it won't be a regular occurance." She eyedarted, "Unless you both wanna hit a strip club?"
Kitty elbowed her!
"Would it be a strip club with men stripping or women stripping?" Ty Lee wasn't sure she wanted to watch men strip. She LIKED men, that hadn't changed at all, but they always looked kind of silly naked.
She leaned back in her chair a bit and huggled her smoothie cup against her, "I've never been in one. My parents would have killed me or I'd have been kicked out of school, I think."
That thought made her feel rebellious, "We should go to one."
Kitty looked at the two girls, resignation on her face, "Okay, but a topless one, and no lapdances!" Somehow she had to be the voice of reason.
Jubilee had other ideas, "Oh no, Kit Kat. We need the full experience."
"There's no point in doing something unless you do it right, Zula always says."
Outnumbered, Kitty nodded her head, "All right. Lead on, Jubilee."
