Mavis certainly wasn't complaining about the closeness. She liked the human contact, it kept her grounded, and it gave her a thrill of victory to know that she could work past the occasional urge to lean over and start sucking on a person's neck. It was also nice to be able to differentiate the urge to suck from the urge to bite. Hopefully, she'd be able to continue to recognize the nuances, even if the vampire stuff came back.
"It's something to think about, I suppose," she said. "If I had a family crest, I'd offer to let you use that, to ward off any other vampires that might move into town. But Lo might be a little jealous of that."
