Lexi sat, cross-legged, on the couch, flipping through a magazine. Of course, she wasn't really paying attention to the pictures or articles, because every now and then she would check her phone for a text from Huck. He had been on his most recent book signing tour for the last few weeks and he was due home tonight. She had planned on picking him up at the airport, but at the last minute had been asked to work and by the time she'd left, driving to LAX to get him was pointless, because then he would have been waiting and he'd assured her that his publisher was going to send a car, so she went home to shower and wait for him. She had expected he'd be walking in the door shortly after she'd gotten out of the shower, but now here it was, almost twenty minutes later and he wasn't home yet.

Closing the magazine, she set it on the coffee table and picked up her iphone, put in the password and brought up her text convo with him, 'Did you get lost? :(' She typed then pressed send and leaned back, stretching out her bare legs to rest them on the coffee table. She had figured, if she was going to wait for him at home, she might as well greet him accordingly and was currently dressed in a pair of short shorts and a tank top. She almost opted to wait naked, but she'd decided against it this time around.

Not that Huck would have objected to seeing his girlfriend in all her naked splendor, but he did enjoy the unwrapping.

He didn't answer her text, though, because it beeped at him just as he was letting himself into the condo--and he just happened to have a bag of books and souvenirs in one arm, and a bouquet of flowers in the other. "Sorry I'm late," he called, kicking off his shoes and padding to the living room, "I stopped to pick up a little something on the way..." He presented the flowers with a flourish. "I hope you don't mind."

At the sound of the door and Huck's voice, Lexi practically jumped off the couch and ran towards him as he entered the living room. Had he not had so much in his hands, she probably would have jumped on him, but that could wait until later. "Well aren't you quite the gentleman." She grinned at her boyfriend as she took the bouquet from him and smelled the flowers briefly before leaning in to kiss him. It had been weeks since they'd seen each other on more than SKYPE and she'd missed this, "I suppose I can forgive you for not answering my text."

They'd been together for so long now that they didn't always have to actually say something for the other to know it and considering how quickly Lexi had jumped off the couch when he'd come in, it was pretty obvious that she'd missed him. "Oh you know, utterly bored without you." She smirked and gestured for him to follow her into the kitchen; she had to find a vase after all, "Are you hungry?" She'd actually eaten more she left work, but she was sure there was something for Huck to eat if he was hungry. "Or did they feed you on the plane?"

Lexi easily located a vase under the sink, filled it with water then placed the flowers in it before turning back to him, brows rising in an amused expression, "Oh? And what exactly do you want to nibble on?" No, she was not being subtle. It had been weeks! "And alas, no. See, my favorite author has been too busy with book signing tours to write another book." Her expression changed as quickly as ever and she stuck her bottom lip out in a pout.

"Oh, now that is an excellent question," Huck said, pulling Lexi close to nip at that pretended pout. "Perhaps you can guess the answer." He might be tired from the trip, but not so tired that he couldn't rise to the occasion. "You are so beautiful, Lexi."

Lexi's pout turned up into a grin once more and she brought her arms up to wrap around Huck's neck, "And you're quite handsome for someone who was just on an airplane for hours." Even as she teased him, she leaned forward and kissed him. If there was one thing she enjoyed doing most, it was kissing Huck. As far as she was concerned, Huck had the most perfect lips. His lips were full; fuller than her own and felt amazing when she kissed him or when he was doing other things with them.

He pulled her close, cupping his hands under the swell of her backside as if to lift her off her feet. Yeah, he was definitely awake now. He was of the opinion that Lexi had the most perfect lips, but he was certainly pleased that she approved of his. "Why don't I slip into something a little more comfortable?"

It took all of Lexi's willpower not to jump him right then and there as he pulled her closer, his hands causing his hips to press against him. She'd always enjoyed the fact that he was only an inch taller than her, because it meant that she didn't have to stand on the tips of her toes and he didn't have to stoop down or vice versa. Then again, if she wore heals it did mean that she was then slightly taller than him, but he never seemed to mind. As he spoke, she couldn't help bu laugh a little, "Isn't that usually my line?"

"Oh, I am." Lexi smirked, tipping her head to the side slightly, long blond hair moving like a curtain down her back. "Now, why don't we get you in something more comfortable." Still smirking, she pressed a kiss to his lips then took his hand and led him through the condo, to their bedroom. Once there, she kissed him again, only this time it was far more heated and her fingers went straight to the buttons of his shirt, making quick work of them before sliding her hands inside his shirt, the two ends parting as her hands moved over his stomach and chest.

Huck wouldn't take his hands off her, except as much as he needed to, to shrug his shirt off. Free of it, his hands returned to her waist, thumbs tracing her hip bones, teasing as he held her against his body. "Next time, you should come with me."

Her shorts hung low on her hips, so Huck had easy access to her hipbones and just that mere touch made her shudder. It had been weeks since they'd been together and she simply loved the way his hands felt on her body. "Now there's an idea. I certainly wouldn't mind traveling around with you." She smirked at him a moment before she kissed him once more. While she was used to him going off on book signing tours or other promotional events, she hated sleeping alone and was sure that tonight she was going to sleep very well.

As she kissed him, her hands slid down his chest and stomach, fingers toying with the waistband of his pants a moment before she started undoing his belt.

Huck could sleep almost anywhere, but he had gotten used to having her warm presence in their bed; and he had missed that very, very much. His hands wrapped around her waist, pushing the hem of her tanktop with them as they slid up along her ribs, to cup the lower edge of her breasts. Usually he had no shortage of eloquent, affectionate things to say, but right now, actions spoke louder--and he was far too busy kissing her to bother spouting sonnets.

Normally Lexi loved how eloquent Huck was as well as the affectionate things that he said to her; he wasn't like any other guy she'd ever dated and that was just one of the things that she loved about him. He was a gentleman through and through in a time when those seemed to be few and far between. Since she hadn't dressed to go out, she was wearing a plain, sheer underwire bra as opposed to the padded or push-up bras she normally wore, so it allowed her to feel Huck's hands easily and she let out a low moan into the kiss. As she got his belt undone, she started on the button and zipper of his pants. Once undone, she slide her hands back up to his chest and pushed lightly, hoping he'd get the hint to sit down on the edge of the bed.

It was because she knew how highly Huck thought of her chest that she tended to wear corsets or push up bras when they went out. Over the last three years she'd acquired a rather large collection of various corsets from ones she would wear out to ones she'd only wear in the bedroom. Since her tank top was already practically half off already, she pulled it off and tossed it to the floor, leaving her in her bra and shorts, before moving to straddle Huck's thighs, her arms wrapping around his neck, "And you are a very handsome devil."

In bed, in the kitchen, in any part of life, Huck was only happy if his lady was happy. It wasn't that he did things to please her just to get something back, just that it felt good knowing that she was pleased. And he didn't believe in doing anything halfway.
