Since his last birthday so much had happened and honestly Renly couldn't be any happier with the way his life had changed. First he'd met Loras and now he couldn't imagine his life without the younger man. Then he'd met Gendry and found out that he was actually his nephew. He also had a number of close friends, all of them quite interesting people, which kept his life interesting as well. After all, how many people could say they were friends with a porn star and another king? Not many. Honestly, Renly had a pretty good life now and there was absolutely nothing he would change. Except maybe how worried Loras got about the dreams, but until his were over, there wasn't really anything Renly could do there.
Speaking of Renly's dreams, he hadn't had any, aside from the regular, run of the mill ones in a few days, which he was grateful for. Last he knew, him and Loras had fled King's Landing and Robert had succumbed to the wound he'd received from the boar. He knew what most likely came next, he somehow became king despite the fact that Stannis was technically next in line, but he could do with a bit of a breather before that happened. Waking up from a rather enjoyable, dreamless sleep, Renly rolled over as the sun streamed in through the window and he shifted closer to Loras, who had spent the night so that they could spend his birthday together from start to finish. "I'm going to make some coffee." He didn't know if Loras was asleep or not, but he said it anyway and leaned over to press a kiss to his temple before getting up. Renly pulled on a pair of pajama pants, which hung low on his hips then headed downstairs. He was almost to the kitchen when he passed the dining room, which was rarely used and he stopped just after the doorway and took a step back. Sitting on the glass tabletop was a golden crown with what looked like antlers all around it. "Loras!" Without taking his eyes off he crown, he yelled towards his bedroom, which was a sort of loft, which took up the whole upper section of the house.
