	Hotaru was reading when the phone rang and while other people might let it ring and wait for someone else to answer it, she bookmarked her page and got up from the armchair she had been curled up in, "Hello?" She asked as she answered the phone. (Reply to this)

	Hotaru recognized Michiru's voice right away, "I'm alright. Thank you for calling." Prospective adoptive parents had rarely called back after meeting her and now Michiru had called her twice. (Reply to this)

	"It's going fine. I have two next week." Hotaru wasn't used to making small talk, but oddly enough, she felt like she could talk to Michiru. Not the way she could talk to Steven, but it was different from other prospective adoptive parents. (Reply to this)

"Good luck on them. I'm sure you'll do great."Now for one of the kickers. She had to ask it. "Hotaru... I want to. but I don't want to make this about Haruka and I. It includes you." Ran a hand through her hair, sitting up. "If all goes well, would you like us for a mama and papa? I mean you wouldn't have to call us that. You could call us whatever you wanted...But. Would you like us to adopt you?"

	Hotaru had spent the last six years wanting to be adopted, but had never actually thought it would happen. As much as she wanted it, she also worried that if she got close, something would happen, "I...I would. I just...why do you want me?" (Reply to this)

Michiru had been expecting that, and she took a long pause mostly to collect her thoughts. After she figured out what she wanted to say she spoke clearly and calmly so she wouldn't miss anything. 'Because, Hotaru... Haruka and I have always dreamed of having a child. Of someone who could bring balance and peace to our hearts and calm the seas of our loneliness. We've both dreamed of someone that would be calm, quiet, but sweet when they warmed up to you. That has a gentle heart, but independent when she needed to be. I would love to be your mother, I feel you are what we both need, and we will do anything for you, anything you ever need to make sure you are kept; Safe, healthy, happy, warm, with a roof over your head. We want you because you are perfect to us."

	No one had ever said anything like that about her before and she honestly didn't know how to answer. She was silent for a moment or two, trying to wrap her brain around what Michiru had said, "You...you really think that about me?" (Reply to this)

The green haired woman sighed and sat back up, continuing to fan herself."Of course I do, I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it... Haruka and I both want you, to call you our daughter. If you will have us. It's up to you."Looked up to Haruka then down at her hand. "Now we can't make it official or do anything until we wed, but we can get the start of the paperwork going. We will be married in July and at the time... I'd love for us to sign the paperwork and bring you into our family. A day for new beginnings.
