We did decide. With every vote, with every election, the laws we passed, the people we chose to help govern us, from today's government all the way back in history to our very Declaration of Independence. Have we always made the right decisions? No. Is government, small or large, foolproof? No. But based off your own evidence you've proven your argument invalid.
I get the sentiment behind what you're trying to say but these protocols in place aren't arbitrary. And the laws which allow them were set in place through a long line of choices by the people. Try to remember that when you're speaking public ally against the people who are simply doing the jobs we pay and hire them to do, and as they work to save the lives of the fellow countrymen you so passionately fight for.
I encourage you to spend some time traveling the world when this quarantine is passed. I think it will teach you a lot about government, about what is important to fight for and what isn't.
Good luck with your protest. It is absolutely important to fight for what is right. Unfortunately, I don't think you have the correct idea this time around.
