As he often did, Laurence awoke from his dream confused about where he was, before finally recalling that he wasn't a captain in His Majesty's Aerial Corps in 19th century Europe, preparing for a battle along side the Prussians.
Laurence knew enough of history to know not to expect too much in terms of coming days - Napoleon had thoroughly trounced the Prussians in his war - but there was no history book written that would explain to him why England had failed to send the twenty dragons it had promised Prussia in the upcoming battle.
He gave himself the morning and much of the afternoon to digest the dream, before he called Nathaniel to inform him that he'd finally had another dream.
