As one might guess from his name, Taiyang had always been an early riser. Well- maybe not always. Almost always, except for those pesky teenage years, but to be fair, he hadn't met a teenager yet that enjoyed waking up at the crack of dawn when they could be snoozing till noon. Regardless, as a fully functioning member of society, he had come to enjoy the peaceful ruckus of a big city as the sun crept over the smog-hidden mountains. Rising with the sun gave him plenty of time for some taichi and drink some of Tai's-tea before he had to head out.
His brother-in-law, however, was definitely not a morning person. Especially not after a night of drinking, which tended to happen more nights than not. So when Qrow's name popped up on his phone's caller ID before he'd even had his second cup of tea, he was instantly worried. Tai wiped toast crumbs off of his hand before answering.
"If you're calling to ask where your car is, you're out of luck." Worried did not mean he wasn't going to give Qrow a bit of shit about calling so early.
