Someone tried to shoot him last week, and his best friend is missing. I'll defer to you - you're the one who lives with him - but these circumstances seem above and beyond your ordinary bad week. If it were just 'the Stark girl things I'm weird,' I wouldn't be doing this. I'd say 'oh, that's too bad, Tony. I'm sorry.' and that would be the end of it, because yes: you don't get parades for the little stuff. You square your shoulders and deal with it.
He's had a rough spring, honestly. And I know he's given to hyperbole and to dramatics, but I think in this case there may be something behind it. Sometimes you need a show of support, even if that's a guy in a truck with Stars and Stripes Forever playing on the radio.
