Right, I do remember you and that particular situation. Sorry about that, since it was a 'needs must' sort of situation and I do owe you one for saving my backside, if I recall correctly. I can't say that I blame you or anyone else for leaving after any of it, really. Everyone got a nice memento box for their holiday in Genosha and that's all that needs to be said about that.
As for what is and is not idiotic?
I don't particularly like any out in the open heroics. I like things kept under the radar. I don't like it when things explode all over the news, causing huge public backlashes - although I do realize that some things like rage monsters are situations that can't be controlled or helped. I do like planning and everyone being on the same page, so things go as planned and there's less danger involved for everyone. I wouldn't like it if everyone and their grandmum was flinging their hands about with superpowers on every street corner for something that's basically a kitten caught in a tree or a traffic violation. Those are things that law enforcement can and should sort out, as well as be informed about.
I simply don't think a lot of superpowered things need to be flaunted and flounced up the public's noses. I also don't treat people like they're special snowflakes, even if I realize the usefulness of their powers and how to put it into certain situations, so things are kept productive. You had some useful powers as well, when you could control them. But I digress.
I also realize everyone's egos are vastly different in a group situation, and that's going to cause a lot of disagreements. Especially in a situation like this, where we're all a lot more cautious about how to proceed, so the figurative past doesn't repeat itself. Which is one pain in the bum I'd also not like to deal with too terribly much, just as much as I'm relatively certain no one would want to deal with me, either. I'm not going to get 'butt hurt' (cheers Pryde for teaching me that phrasing) and emotional about things, whereas some other people might do. It basically boils down to this: If everyone goes running about, doing their own things, and doesn't listen to plans, logistics, or common sense reasoning...then bloody hell YES. That's idiotic and I'm not having it. Because that's precisely the sort of behavior that can potentially get people killed. I don't really want to deal with that. Cheers.
