There is no need to apologize, Mr. Hardy. History is my passion and I really do enjoy talking about it. Its a pleasure to discuss it with someone who clearly has done his research and is interested in what he has learned.
You are correct in your previous email. Most pirates of the day were sailing from Europe. The Panama Canal was not officially opened until 1914 so if a ship from Europe wanted to go to California, it had to sail all the way around South America. It was easier and far more lucrative for a pirate to remain in the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean than to attempt to sail completely around South America and up the western Mexico coast to California and beyond.
I have a website, but I apologize, webdesign is not something I am particularly good at. Therefore the site is rather anemic looking. I have been keeping fairly late hours recently to accommodate a few loyal clients. I am much busier on the weekend, so if you would like to come down and have the opportunity to examine the cutlasses, I would recommend you do so during the week.
