Rose wanted to do something special for her friends on Valentine's, especially since she wouldn't be in Orange County on the blessed day. She spent the morning in her hotel bed, calling and emailing the right place to have things delivered to her friends on time. She had to think about some of them, wondering if it would be better to have them delivered to their home or work. She compiled a list of different address, shipping things off left and right to make sure they got to their intended recipients.
[Caroline, Gwen, Clara, Alex, Martha, Buffy] Attached to the lid is a note with each of their names: Happy Valentine's! Hope you have a splendid day! Thanks for being an amazing friend! Love, Rose
[Troy, Will, Peeta, Rory, D'Art] A note is written on the inside flap of the book: Happy Valentine's! Hope you enjoy the cookies I made (don't worry, I tested them before eating them) and the book! A little on the nose for Valentine's and really not a happily ever after, but romantic all the same! Love, Rose
[Pete & Peter] A note is attached to the front of the basket: Happy Valentine's! Thought this would be better than some chocolates. Hope you have a great Valentine's! Love, Rose
[Isabela] A note is written on the inside flap of the book: Happy Valentine's! I don't think you really need this, but maybe you'll find something new and fun? Thanks for all the fun times and advice. <3 Love, Rose
[Daniel] A note is attached to the box: Happy Valentine's! I wasn't sure if you preferred alcohol or chocolate, so I went with these. I hope you enjoy them and have a fantastic weekend! Love, Rose
[Amy] A note is tied to one of the necklaces: Happy Valentine's! Thank you so much for inviting me along with you! I've had such a lovely time and I'm happy to have been able to spend more time with you. <3 You're not my cousin, but my sister and best friend. I love you! - Rose
The mix CD is in a jeweled case with a booklet that Rose has made herself. The front features a collage of pictures they've taken together and inside, there are the lyrics to every song on the CD. When you take the cover out, the first page of the booklet has a note she's written to him:
John~ I know it's a little silly, but I wanted to thank you for the brilliant mix you made me. Just like my mix is from you to me, so is mine to you. I think some songs fit us just right too. I hope you enjoy it!
xoxo, Rose
P.S. I hope you enjoy the chocolate dipped bananas!
