[Phone Call to Hans] Anna spent all night thinking about it. She laid in her bed and went back and cataloged all the things she'd said to other people about Hans--that she could remember--and all the things they'd said to her. And all of her interactions with him. Both in the Dreams and out of them. She took a long time trying to imagine what he must feel seeing things that she put on the internet.
He'd told her before how it made him feel talking about the Dreams, and she hadn't. She wasn't talking about the Dreams anymore, but that wasn't the problem this time. It was the Vampire thing. And she hadn't even realized she'd said it. No wonder Caroline put that hex on her, or whatever. Anna talked too much.
But all that stuff about her parents was true, she realized. She hadn't had time to mourn. Elsa's powers manifested the day they got the news, and Anna felt like since then she'd been running nonstop. The only person she'd really talked to about it was Peeta. Now he was gone.
It was time to talk to Hans about it. About everything. And hope that he would believe her when she said she was sorry, and that she was going to respect his privacy. She wasn't looking forward to this conversation. She hated that she'd hurt him, and she wouldn't blame him if he raged at her, or told her it was over. She'd put him through too much.
So before she left her place for school she sat on the sofa and dialed. He didn't have class yet, she hoped she'd catch him while he was still at home.
