I saw that as well and was wondering the same things, for the most part. Come to think of it, you did - in the dream - mention if I was the member of some fleet or some such. So it was very likely the same thing. I'd like to hear something in depth about it, like the answer to the question: "If there's a Command and Science track, then where's Engineering & Mechanics? And if it exists, how can I not only become lord and master over it all, but rub my bloody self all over the machinery, with or without dying in the process?"
Given, I'd die one incredibly happy bastard. After I figured out how it all worked.
Also, not to digress entirely? Pardon if I do, but while we're on the the subject of dreams? I'd meant to notify the whole lot of you! I figured out why it seemed as though I'd ran to the sci-fi convention through a rainstorm. Apparently I was caught in some sort of water system, somehow or other, and Kirk was a good lad and saved me from drowning and what I think looked like the mincing machine of doom. Which was bloody impressive to look at, but I'm fairly certain it might have hurt to be ran through it.
We then ran through this fantastic, huge room full of pipes and machinery, and it was immense, and we were pretty high up on some staircases and ramps, until we were caught, and some large lad called Kirk 'Cupcake' - which must be like some pet name or term of endearment. Or maybe he was simply being a smart arse.
So, we're hauled off to the bridge in custody, and that's where it seemed to link up.
Come to think of it, that Chekov lad I'd number crunched with a couple of days ago? He did look a wee bit familiar. I'll just keep an eye on him, to see if he says anything odd on his own.
I've also bashed my skull a few times and I think I've got the blueprints for a working engine. Lacking the fuel, entirely, but we've figured it must be something crystalline in structure. I suppose I may have to improvise and run some tests. This is basically a FYI in case any of you hear about anything going boom, in the near future!
Best regards to you all and I hope this gets sorted in due time,
