Title Untitled Author Missy! Theme Helena Ravenclaw Prompt Word Money
Helena was starting to wonder if it was all that men thought about. Another meeting with another suitor, and he and Salazar seemed to only have one thing they talked about. It was the Italian one this time, and though Helena's Italian was textbook perfect, she continued missing words here and there because of the dialect or because of the accent. She had the situation fairly clear. This man owned a vineyard, and another house in the country. He seemed to be a front runner in Salazar's eyes for men to marry Helena. Helena was not so sure about all of this.
Money, money, money. Perhaps it was the universal language. She was doing her best in being the perfect woman. She sat still, looked beautiful, and only spoke when she was spoken to. It was the least she could do if Salazar was going to go through so much work to find her the perfect suitor. He had to be handsome, and wealthy, and kind to his subordinates... and he had to smell good. That was a requirement of Helena's.
The fifteen year old girl wasn't thinking much about sex at this time. But the idea that she was going to have to sleep next to this man for the rest of her life was making her feel a little nauseous. Her face flushed a bit. The two men didn't seem to notice, as they continued talking about this upcoming year's harvest. Helena couldn't care less about wine, or about Galleons. She just wanted to be loved.
Under normal circumstances they would not have had dessert with their meal. But this was a special occasion, and apparently this Italian fellow wanted to show off his wealth. He ordered them all dessert. Helena's heart sped up a little when the sweets were brought to the table, and she glanced to Salazar for permission to enjoy herself. Perhaps she could live with this man, if he was to buy her sweets, fruit and chocolates.
Over dessert the conversation continued. Helena was starting to wonder how two people could talk on the same subject for so long, and seem to come up with no conclusion. She had nothing to add to the conversation, and they didn't seem keen to let her join in.
On the walk home Salazar turned to ask Helena her opinion of the potential suitor.
"He is handsome." Helena said, her voice slightly dejected.
"And?"
"And apparently only has one thing on his mind."
"At least it is the correct thing."
Helena stepped closer to Salazar and wrapped her arm around his as they walked the rest of the way back to the castle in silence.
