Sophia saw the gesture and blow out of the corner of her eye. And could see the bouncers moving. But bouncers tended to make a mess. Especially as they would probably simply throw everyone involved out. And Sophia had stopped more than one tavern brawl by smiling and talking quietly to people until they forgot while they were upset. So she hurried across the floor making eye contact with the bouncer who knew her (and who held his companion back - they didn't want trouble any more than she did).
"Sir. Madam. Sir. Is everything all right?" Her eyes widened briefly - she thought she recognised the 'boy' from the clothing shop. And if she read this situation correctly, the gentleman who was actually hit was the bystander.
