Stephen sighed; her behavior actually bothered him because he knew how it used to feel that way. He had gotten to be more outgoing when he'd had several decades to culminate his personality into something more robust than the ass he used to be. "Pepper, you're going to have to loosen up a bit if you're going to enjoy this date. Don't feel like anything is expected of you. Just enjoy yourself." Then he punctuated it all with, "I'm not Tony Stark."
He tucked his hands back into his pockets, though he walked a little close to her, "No, never lived here. Traveled quite a lot. I tend to not stay in one place often enough to set up a residency, although I will have to change that since I'm expected to be a surgeon at Kent."
