She tensed at his approach, fearing a bad reaction from him. It was a little silly to think he'd turn her away, especially after the letter he'd written her. But it wasn't until he was kissing her that she relaxed some. Carrie had only been away for a week or so. But they hadn't ever spent that much time apart before. It'd made the week stretch and feel much longer.
