Tony wouldn't have let Remy hurt Pepper, not that he thought she'd do it, but these were the two most important women in his life, and he wanted one around just as much as the other. He would never admit it to Remy, but he'd been wishing everyday that she'd show up or Rhodey. As independent as he was, he just had a hole without his best friends. Tony wanted them there to share in the fact he was in a place where his life just couldn't get any better.
"Few modifications here and there, but it's home all over again," he said as they parted. "Pepper Potts, this is my wife, Remy. She's a doctor, something I could have always benefited to have around back then." He took a step back, angling himself more towards Remy as he placed his hand on the small of her back.
