He placed the disc on top of a small laptop in their room. He'd never been disinclined to investigate a mystery before, and even now it went against every instinct that was screaming at him from within. But right now, he deferred to Carrie's unspoken request. Perhaps it should have bothered him that she was so bothered by the prospect of being married to him, but he could worry about that later.

"I put in a search in the Hawaii records. I used the work computer--" Carrie preferred to call it "Burt,"-- "since it's faster. If it's found anything, it should be on there." He wanted to put an arm around her, but wasn't sure if it was the ideal move to make right now.
