"I didn't either, you know. I mean, before I met you, I just sort of watched human interaction, and then helped trees grow. Kept bugs away. Stuff like that." She blushed a little, laughing at how silly it probably sounded to him. "And well, you've got a fairy now. You'd fit in back where I'm from." she giggled and squealed when he poked her in the ribs, ticklish to a fault. She blinked when he told her what her name technically was - it added to the horrible picture she had of his past, and put fuel to the fire of her determination to make his present and future as good as it could be. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his chin, grinning. "Alec is much much much better."
The line kept moving forward, and soon they were about four people from the front. "Like I said, as long as I'm with you, I'm fine. You, me, a hotel, someplace with some sun - perfect vacation." She squeed as the man ushered people through the line, and she and Alec got through. "The front! The front!" She made a dash for the car at the front, grinning and sitting down and waiting for him to join her. The shoulder harness wasn't that hard to figure out, and soon she was swinging her legs happily.
